[email protected] Kids Ride Free in August at Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad OHIO, PENINSULA, July 31, 2018 — Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad will run Kids Ride Free special, presented by WKYC, throughout the month of August. Starting Wednesday, August 1, for one adult National Park Scenic coach ticket ($15) purchased, one child’s National Park Scenic coach ticket (ages 12 and under) is free. Limit three children per adult ticket. After three free coach child’s tickets, any additional passengers will require paid tickets. “Channel 3 is proud to encourage kids and their families to ride the rails and travel back through time, embracing the rich history of the American railroad system while enjoying the magic and splendor of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. It’s the perfect way to spend a day,” says WKYC President and General Manager Micki Byrnes. The ‘Kids Ride Free’ special is available Tuesdays-Fridays in August. Weekends do not apply. The special ends on Friday, August 31. This offer is not valid with anyone other promotion or discount. It does not apply to special event tickets. The National Park Scenic coach ticket is an all-day pass, so families can get off the train and explore Cuyahoga Valley National Park. One round trip is approximately three and a half hours. The train travels northbound and southbound throughout the day from Rockside station in Independence to Akron Northside station. Tickets can be purchased in advance at cvsr.com, by phone or at Rockside station, Peninsula depot, or Akron Northside station 30 minutes prior to departure.
