NORTON HOUSE Eustis, Lake County, Florida SUMMARY The Gould H. Norton House in Eustis, Florida, is a c. 1880 two-and-one half story wood frame residence with a truncated, low pitched, hipped roof, and exterior chimney. The exterior of the building exhibits detailing associated with the Italianate style. The interior was designed originally as a single-family residence, but in recent years has been sensitively adapted for use as a bed and breakfast inn. The major alteration, the rebuilding of the front porch, occurred about 1993. PRESENT AND ORIGINAL PHYSICAL APPEARANCE Setting The Norton House is located east of downtown Eustis on Lakeview Avenue. It is within a 1.5 acre parcel. The parcel is the highest point
