No. AEE6/DEE2/Upgradation Proposals/2012-13, dt. 05-11-2012. ***** O R D E R: During the financial year 2012-2013 a provision is made for the first time in the Budget Estimates for upgradation of roads laid under MGNREGS under the following Head of Accounts. In pursuance of the above Budget provision, the Chief Engineer, PR, Hyderabad has submitted consolidated proposals for upgradation of 409 road works in the state for an amount of Rs.21335.98 lakhs. 3. Based on the above proposals Government hereby accord administrative sanction for 409 works for an amount of Rs.21335.98 Lakhs (Rupees Two Hundred and thirteen Crore thirty Five lakh and Ninety Eight Thousand only) as detailed in the annexure appended to this order, for upgradation of roads to BT level under relevant Head of Account mentioned under Para 1 above. 4. The Budget Provision as stated in this order is under Plan Head meant for Capital nature of works. Hence it is instructed not to execute repairs of roads and renewal of existing BT surface under these sanctions. Upgradation of existing road and BT surfacing has to be done for full length of the road to touch a habitation. In case any work sanctioned in this order is not satisfying these criteria, the estimate of such work shall not be accorded technical sanction and the technical sanctioning authority shall bring all such cases to the notice of the Government through the Chief Engineer, Panchayat Raj. P.T.O. ::2:: 5. The Superintending Engineer, PR, concerned should check and verify that the works sanctioned in Para 3 above is not already sanctioned/grounded/semi finished under any other grants. Any discrepancy noticed is to be brought to the notice of the higher authority immediately who will inform to Government for further necessary action. The above instructions shall be followed scrupulously. If such works as sanctioned in this GO are already grounded etc., it may deemed to have been cancelled automatically and the same may be informed to Government immediately for taking further necessary action. 6. The Chief Engineer, PR, Hyderabad shall take necessary action in the matter accordingly and submit the utilization Certificates to Government soon after completion of the works in the stipulated time. 7. The annual outturn of rice in this district is 659,078 tonnes which forms 13.8% of the total outturn in the State.
