The Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No. 5 of 2016) 2. G.O.Ms. No.26 MA&UD (H) Department, dated 08.02.2016. 3. From the Director of Town and Country Planning, Andhra Pradesh, Lr.Rc.No.2920/16/P, Dated 12.11.2018. & & & O R D E R: The Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No. 5 of 2016) has come into force w.e.f 08.02.2016 by virtue of notification issued in G.O. 2nd read above. 2. In the reference 3 rd read above, the Director of Town & Country Planning has requested the Government for constitution of Eluru Urban Development Authority (EUDA), with a jurisdiction of 35 Mandals covering 463 villages and nine (09) Urban Local Bodies i.e., Eluru Municipal Corporation, Kovvuru, Nidadavole, Tadepalligudem, Tanuku, Narsapur, Palacole, Bhimavaram Municipalities and Jagareddygudem Nagarapanchayath with an extent of 3327.998 Sq.Kms and population of 27,60,160 as per 2011 census with Head Quarters at Eluru under Sec. 3 & 4, Chapter-II of Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016. 3. Government after careful examination of the matter have decided to declare the area of 3327.998 Sq. Kms covering Eluru Municipal Corporation, Kovvuru, Nidadavole, Tadepalligudem, Tanuku, Narsapur, Palacole, Bhimavaram Municipalities, Jagareddygudem Nagarapanchayath and 463 villages in 35 Mandals in West Godavari District as given in notification – I and constitute Eluru Urban Development Authority (EUDA) with Head Quarter at Eluru as given in notification – II. (P.T.O.) 2 :: 2 :: 4. The Urban Development Authority shall function from the office in Eluru Town with the support of its staff. The expenditure towards establishment and other secretarial assistance shall be completely borne by Eluru Urban Development Authority (EUDA). Initially, the Urban Development Authority shall be function with the grants of Development fund and Revolving fund. Later, with their own revenue. 5. The modalities for Development of lands, Preparation of Master Plan and Zonal Development plans, Acquisition and disposal of lands, Inspection and penalties etc., shall be followed as per the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No.5 of 2016). 6. The appended notification will be published in an Extraordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette, dated:01.01.2019. 7. The Commissioner of Printing, Stationery and Stores Purchase, Andhra Pradesh, Vijayawada is requested to supply 10 copies of the Extra-ordinary issue of the Andhra Pradesh Gazette. 8. The Finance (FMU,I&I, EF&MA) Department, Secretariat, Velagapudi Sf/Sc. // FORWARDED :: BY :: ORDER // SECTION OFFICER APPENDIX NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Metropolitan Region and Urban Development Authorities Act, 2016 (Act No.5 of 2016), the Government of Andhra Pradesh having regard to the need for the promotion of development activities relating to as a Urban Development Authority to achieve the objectives of the region witnesses tremendous growth in the domains of Industries, Imports and Exports etc. hereby specify a special Urban Development Area for the area comprised within the jurisdiction of Eluru Municipal Corporation, Kovvuru, Nidadavole, Tadepalligudem, Tanuku, Narsapur, Palacole, Bhimavaram Municipalities and Jagareddygudem Nagarapanchayath with the jurisdiction covering 463 villages in 35 Mandals in West Godavari District with Head Quarters at Eluru and with an extent of 3327.998 Sq. Mts and population of 27,60,160 and villages as specified in the Schedule appended to this notification to be a Urban Development Area for the purpose of the said Act and the said Area shall be as “Eluru Urban Development Area (EUDA)”. Horticulture contributes to about 4 per cent of the state GDP. Horticultural crops cover 13 per cent of the gross area in the state. Extension The area under horticulture is 19.60 lakh ha with an annual production of 203.66 lakh tonnes. Andhra Pradesh with high geographical General diversity, 9 agro-climatic zones, varied soil types and good irrigation resources is better placed in the production of various horticultural Visitors crops such as fruits (9.21 lakh ha; 129.18 MT), vegetables (3.33 lakh ha; 54.61 MT), plantation crops (3.64 lakh ha; 6.54 MT), spices (2.99 lakh ha; 11.21 MT), flowers (0.21 lakh ha; 1.30 MT) Human Resource and medicinal and aromatic plants (0.20 lakh ha; 0.79 MT). Andhra Pradesh ranks first in the Development production of mango, chillies, turmeric, sweet orange and papaya. Coconut, oil palm and cashew are important plantation crops. Mango, sweet orange and banana are the leading Programmes fruit crops of Andhra Pradesh and accounts for over 86% of the area under fruit crops and over conducted 77% of the total production. Tomato, brinjal and bhendi are the major vegetables grown in Programmes the state. Among the spices, Andhra Pradesh ranks first in area and production of chillies and participated turmeric. Rose, jasmine, crossandra, chrysanthemum, marigold, tuberose are the traditional flower crops of the state.

SHRI KANUMURU RAGHU RAMA KRISHANA RAJU: Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has launched Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Rurban Mission for the development of basic infrastructure in the villages; (b) if so, the details thereof; (c) the number of villages in the State of Andhra Pradesh proposed to be linked to the scheme along with the details thereof; (d) the details of the villages of West Godavari District that are included in the scheme; and (e) the quantum of funds earmarked and released so far under this scheme to the State of Andhra Pradesh? ANSWER MINISTER OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT (SHRI NARENDRA SINGH TOMAR) (a) & (b): Yes, the Shyama Prasad Mukherji Rurban Mission (SPMRM) is an attempt to make the selected rural areas socially, economically and physically sustainable regions and strives to strengthen the rural areas by providing economic, social and infrastructure amenities, thus leading to sustainable and balanced regional development in the country. The Mission aims to develop 300 Rurban Clusters with thematic economic growth across the country under this innovative Mission. The basic infratructure is one of the component under the Mission. Fourteen components have been suggested as desirable for the Clusterto ensure an optimum level of development. States/UTs may choose the components based on the detailed analysis of their clusters in their Integrated Cluster Action Plans (ICAPs). The funding for Rurban Clusters is through various schemes of the Government converged into the Cluster.
