PRODUCTION BIOS

LARRY LEVINSON (Executive Producer) - Larry Levinson has served as executive producer on a wide range of movies, from miniseries to feature films. He has overseen numerous Hallmark Channel Original Movies in every genre, from adventure to drama to romance.

Levinson also executive produced the popular Hallmark Channel Mystery Movie franchises “Jane Doe,” “McBride,” “Mystery Woman” and “Murder 101.”

His film credits include “Larry McMurtry’s Streets of Laredo” and “Larry McMurtry’s Dead Man’s Walk.” He executive produced Burt Reynolds’s “Hard Times” telefilms featuring detective Logan McQueen. He also executive produced, with actor Dennis Quaid, “Everything that Rises” and “Mark Twain’s Roughing It.” With actor Tom Berenger, Levinson executive produced “Rough Riders.”

For the Hallmark Channel, Levinson’s substantial work as executive producer on original films includes “The Last Cowboy,” “Straight From the Heart,” “Love Comes Softly,” “Audrey’s Rain,” "The King and Queen of Moonlight Bay,” “Hard Ground,” “A Time to Remember,” “Just Desserts,” “A Place Called Home,” “The Long Shot (Believe in Courage),” “Life on Liberty Street,” “King Solomon’s Mines,” “La Femme Musketeer,” “The Trail to Hope Rose,” “The Reading Room,” “Our House,” “Where There’s A Will,” “Love’s Enduring Promise,” “Out of the Woods,” “Thicker Than Water,” “Always and Forever” and “The Three Gifts.”

Levinson also served as executive producer on “The Christmas Card” in 2007. The film stands as the Hallmark Channel’s highest-rated original movie.

MICHAEL GROSSMAN (Director) – Michael Grossman has directed dozens of different television series, most notably “Grey’s Anatomy” and the pilot for its spin-off “Private Practice.” His other directorial works include “Drop Dead Diva,” “Pretty Little Liars,” “One Tree Hill,” “Gilmore Girls,” “Las Vegas,” “Zoey 101,” “Charmed,” “Angel” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”

Grossman has also directed several television films including “StarStruck,” “Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh” and “Two Heads Are Better Than None.”

LARRY KASE & JOEL RONKIN (Writers) – Larry Kase and Joel Ronkin first teamed up as students at New York University’s famed Tisch School of the Arts. While still in school, they began their careers writing monologue jokes for various well-known (and totally unknown) comedians. After graduation they began writing for late night and sketch shows both in New York and Los Angeles, such as “Comic Strip Live” and “The Sunday Comics.”

Next stop was writing for the sitcom “Down the Shore,” and a long run as writers and story editors on ABC’s “Step By Step,” starring Patrick Duffy and Suzanne Somers. From there, they moved on as writers and producers on shows including the CBS series “Meego,” starring Bronson Pinchot, and the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen ABC series, “Two of a Kind.”

Larry and Joel also served as writers and producers on a long list of pilots and feature development scripts and as executive producers of TV Specials, such as Fox’s “The Fractured Film Awards,” and AMC’s “My Funny Valentine.”
