Cast Bios

JULIE BERMAN (Emily James) – started acting at the age of six. Early in her career, Berman appeared in over 100 different commercials. She made her television debut with the recurring role in the WB family drama series, “7th Heaven.” She continued that role, while simultaneously adding a recurring role in the ABC drama “Once and Again.” She also guest starred on “ER” and “ Public,” and starred alongside Shelley Long in the 1999 television movie “Vanished Without a Trace.” In 2005, while in college at USC, Berman booked the role of Lulu Spencer, the stubborn, troubled daughter of Luke & Laura, in the ABC daytime soap opera . The casting immediately garnered much attention due to Berman’s strong resemblance to who played Laura. Berman’s portrayal of Lulu quickly became a fan favorite. Berman earned her first Daytime Emmy® nomination in 2007, and won her first Daytime Emmy® for Outstanding Younger Actress in 2009. She won her second consecutive Emmy® in 2010 in the same category. In 2013, Berman won her third Emmy®, but in the Daytime Emmy® Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress category and then decided to depart the show. After leaving daytime, Berman guest starred on many primetime series including “,” “Satisfaction” and “.” In 2015, she booked the recurring role of Leia opposite Michaela Watkins in the comedy series “Casual,” produced by . Later that year, Berman joined the cast of the NBC medical drama “ Med,” playing the recurring role of Dr. Sam Zanetti. In 2016, Julie was upped to a series regular on “Casual” and will start season three in February. During her hiatus from the show, she did an episode of “: A Year in the Life” for .

ANDREW W. WALKER (Spencer Patterson) – Andrew Walker started his acting career in Montreal as a recurring lead on the series “Student Bodies” from 1996-1997, and then was cast as a series lead on “Back to Sherwood” and “Radio Active.” Shortly after moving to , he was cast as a series lead on The WB’s “Maybe It’s Me” and later on “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.” Walker then appeared in the Lifetime movies “Wicked Minds” and “Lies and Deception” and later in the ABC show “ Properties.” In 2006 he starred alongside Academy Award nominee, David Strathairn in the film Steel Toes. This performance earned Walker the 2008 ACTRA Best-Actor Award, along with the Phillip Borsos Award at the Whistler Film Festival. Andrew was a series lead on the Lifetime series “Against the Wall” and also guest starred on hit TV shows, including “ER,” “CSI: Miami,” “CSI: New York,” “Without a Trace,” “Big Bang Theory,” and the ’s mini series “When Calls The Heart.” Recent credits include

the lead in the feature films Psychophonia, Loaded and Penthouse North opposite Michelle Monaghan and as well as a supporting role in the TV film “Wedding Planner Mystery.”

Walker starred earlier this year in the Hallmark Channel Original Movies “A Dream of Christmas,” “Date with Love,” “Appetite for Love” and last year’s Christmas presentation “Debbie Macomber’s Dashing Through the Snow.”

GAIL O’GRADY (Mia Lee) – Born in Detroit and current Los Angeles resident, Multiple Emmy® nominee Gail O’Grady has starred in every genre of entertainment, including feature films, television movies, miniseries and series television. Gail most recently guest starred in the hit ABC series “Fresh Off The Boat”, and “Training Day” and “Code Black” for CBS. She had a large recurring role on “Revenge” for ABC, and previously starred in “,” a CW series. O’Grady also starred in a recurring role on ABC’s "” and “.” Starring series roles include the Kevin Williamson/CW drama series “,” and in the ABC comedy “Hot Properties.” Prior to that, she starred in the critically acclaimed NBC series “American Dreams” and has also starred in Lifetime’s “While Children Sleep” and “Sex and the Single Mom,” which was so highly rated that it spawned a sequel in which she also starred. Other television credits include “,” “Vegas,” “CSI,” “Two and a Half Men,” “Monk,” “Two of Hearts,” “Nothing Lasts Forever” and “Billionaire Boys Club.” But O’Grady will always be remembered as the warm-hearted secretary Donna Abandando on the series “NYPD Blue,” for which she received three Emmy® Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress in a Dramatic Series. O’Grady has made guest appearances on some of television’s most acclaimed series, including “,” “Designing Women,” “Ally McBeal” and “.” She has also appeared in numerous television movies and miniseries.

In the feature film arena, O’Grady has worked with some of the industry's most respected directors, including John Landis, John Hughes and , and has starred with several acting legends. She appeared in Walking Across Egypt with Ellen Burstyn, That Old Feeling with Bette Midler, She's Having a Baby with Kevin Bacon and Elizabeth McGovern and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo opposite Rob Schneider.

O’Grady recently starred in the Hallmark Channel Original Movies “The Right Girl” and “All I Want for Christmas.”
