JULI PRESENTERER SINGELEN ”AXIS” IDAG Den 15 juli entrer Pet Shop Boys nok en gang rampelyset med sitt nye album. ”Electric” er det første Pet Shop Boys studioalbumet som er produsert av Stuart Price. I mars i år ble det presentert en teaser for albumet. Teaserens akkompagnerte musikk, ”Axis”, som også er er albumets åpningsspor, slippes idag i sin helhet. En remix av Boys Noize presenteres også om kort tid."Axis" er nå klar i Ipool (www.playgroundmediaservice.com) Er du ikke medlem, ta kontakt! ”Electric” inneholder totalt ni spor – åtte helt nye Pet Shop Boys-låter samt en Bruce Springsteen-cover (”The Last To Die”). Resultatet er så kompromissløst en samling danse-anthems fra Pet Shop Boys kan bli. Pet Shop Boys beskriver selv: ”Electric er et album for dansegulvet. Våre siste album har ofte blitt til som en reaksjon på det forrige albumet, og om ”Elysium” var en reflekterende skive så er ”Electric” veldig rett-fram. Og Stuart Price har vi villet jobbe med i veldig lang tid”. ”Å spille inn ”Electric” var en spennende erfaring”, sier Stuart Price. ”Vi spilte inn albumet i Berlin, London og Los Angeles og blandet oldschool-synther og trommaskiner med moderne datateknikk. Föor meg var det en janse til å arbeide med to personer som i stor grad har påvirket min personlige musikksmak, og som stadig er i utvikling. ”Disco” (fra 1986) var et album som tiltalte meg ettersom det smeltet sammen sang-arrangementer med dansegulvmixer, og det er også slik jeg opplever ”Electric”.     Nadia Ksaiba Biography Anyone familiar with London’s late-night disco dens over the past 10 years will recognise the name Nadia Ksaiba. The Tunisian-born DJ/producer is a regular cast member at veteran electronic party Bugged Out! and Shoreditch club XOYO and one of the capital’s best-kept-secrets. A seasoned tastemaker, Ksaiba hosts the monthly show Rhythm Connection with Dan Beaumont (Chapter 10, Dalston Superstore) on NTS Radio. Now in its fifth year, the artists they’ve uncovered and played first reads like the year in dance music cover stars: Honey Dijon, The Black Madonna, Bicep, Daniel Avery, the list goes on. Her DJ style, meanwhile, flies in the face of what she calls “emotionless, seamless Beatport bangers”, instead spanning a nuanced mix of disco, boogie, proto-house, techno, Italo, minimal wave post-punk, acid and party jams that pump the heart of electronic music. Whether she’s playing Panorama Bar, soundtracking the pole-dancing at east London drag party Savage or covering Optimo for one of their famed Sunday-nighters at Glasgow’s Sub Club, there are few dancefloors that Ksaiba can’t make jack.
