Bulk catalyst tablets and active phase supported on ceramic foam were verified. Successful scale up of technology, preparation of commercial catalyst tablets and verification of their performance in HNO3 production plant was done in cooperation with Chemoproject Inc. Company. Two new catalysts are currently in their offer as a part of the offer of the nitric acid plant delivery. Long-term stability test Patents 1. L. Obalová, K. Jirátová, F. Kovanda, Oxidic catalyst, particularly for the removal of N2O from industrial waste gases. Patent CZ 300807 (2009) 2. F. Kovanda L. Obalová, K. Jirátová, J. Šrámek, Catalyst for removal of N2O from waste gases and process for its production. Patent CZ 305 451 (2015) 3. Klegová, A., Kiška, T., Pacultová, K., Obalová, L., A method of preparing a catalyst for removing nitrous oxide from industrial waste gases and the catalyst prepared in this manner. Patent CZ 307 989 (2019) Operative mock-up (2013): No. 016/25-02-2014_F, No. 015/25-02-2014_F Verified technology (2013): No. 005/25-02-2014_OT, No. 006/25-02-2014_OT Catalytic pilot plant reactor, K/Co4MnAlOx mixed BC-MCHZ Ostrava oxide catalyst Selected applied results Equipment for cleaning of waste air Pilot photochemical unit was developed, constructed and tested for the treatment of various types of waste-air streams coming from many industrial sectors, agricultural operations, paint shops, automotive and pharmaceutical industries. The technology of photochemical decomposition - great potential to be applied for polluted air treatment containing odorous compounds which are irritating at low concentrations. These compounds cannot be treated by conventional methods Comparison of the average achieved because of spatial difficulty of biofilters and their low efficiency styrene conversion based on the initial or high operating cost of waste incineration plants or classical concentration at different flow rates sorption filters. Successful pilot photochemical unit was done in cooperation with Dekonta a.s. Utility model R. Žebrák, L. Zápotocký, K. Kočí, M. Reli, Equipment for cleaning Second part of the of waste air. Utility model CZ 31903 U1 (2018) First part of the experimental setup - experimental setup - Photolytic reactor Photochemical reactor Selected applied results Horizontal bag-type anaerobic fermenter A novel mobile anaerobic bioreactor was developed. The reactor for liquid batch anaerobic digestion has a vessel formed from a bag of plastic material attached to a cylindrical steel face enclosed by a domed bottom. The vessel is enclosed in a steel container. The heating of the vessel can be effectively done not only by traditional water circulation system, but also by hot air circulation. Benefits: inexpensive simple design applicable in mobile container units. Successful scale up of the technology was done in cooperation with CERNIN Ltd. Utility model Rusín J. Horizontal bag-type anaerobic bioreactor. Utility model no. CZ 27092 U1. 23.06.2014. Full-scale verification Selected applied results Dry or semi-dry digestion container fermenter A container bioreactor and micro-biogas plant were developed and small-scale biogas production was tested. A method of stirring the liquid anaerobic biomass containing up to 30 wt.% total solids is particularly suitable for the small-scale treatment of very inhomogeneous biowaste, such as the undersize fraction of mixed municipal solid waste (OF-MSW) obtained by sorting through a sieve with holes up to 100 mm. Batch stirring is ensured by moving the scraper or bucket conveyor along the bottom of the bioreactor and also at the height level at the batch level. Benefits: a more efficient biogas process due to the movement of the entire batch volume, floating crust submersion, sediment movement. Successful scale up of the technology was done in cooperation with AGRO-EKO Ltd. Full-scale verification Utility model Rusín J. Equipment for anaerobic digestion in liquid batch. Utility model CZ 29831 U1. Patent Rusín J. Method of Stirring the liquid batch in an anaerobic digestion device. Patent CZ307151.
