Q3 How do you think the area could be improved?

Answered: 71 Skipped: 58

# Responses Date

1 Footpaths to access all areas of the village 11/30/2014 4:09 PM

2 Have a council backed pub 11/30/2014 2:59 PM

3 Establishment of a ford community 11/30/2014 2:56 PM

4 Better road system 11/30/2014 12:54 PM

5 Speed limits 11/30/2014 12:49 PM

6 Less house being built 11/29/2014 2:50 PM

7 Better pavements protection of landmarks 11/29/2014 2:35 PM

8 Less anti social behaviour in town 11/29/2014 2:26 PM

9 More playgrounds for children 11/29/2014 2:13 PM

10 Stop all further development 11/29/2014 1:29 AM

11 Local trains 11/29/2014 1:26 AM

12 Bus stops 11/28/2014 12:40 PM

13 No more housing development 11/28/2014 12:34 PM

14 Pot holes and peace of village 11/28/2014 12:10 PM

15 Schools and surgeries 11/28/2014 12:06 PM

16 More footpaths 11/28/2014 12:01 PM

17 Bus service 11/28/2014 11:50 AM

18 Less traffic 11/28/2014 11:44 AM

19 All trading estates should be kept free of rubbish and landscaped properly with only trees on the plans - actually 11/28/2014 9:56 AM planted. Some trading estates are full of rubbish - Footpaths are not being maintained properly - especially those between Ford + the downs. We all need highspeed, reliable - online connection - our mobile phone signal is also very poor.

20 By not making Ford Airfield an oversized Industrial panic - far too many large lorries damaging the roads our lives 11/28/2014 9:49 AM and area in general. They have little or no concern for the residents, very selfish when driving along Ford Road and Ford Lane going too fast and using up both sides of the road feel very intimedate.

21 Plant trees on the airfield. 11/28/2014 9:39 AM

22 Create small village on airfield. Restore the area from the "War Zone" to country village. 11/28/2014 9:32 AM

23 Buses 11/27/2014 12:37 PM

24 Ford is basically a rural parish with the airfield containing the business/ employment location. I feel that any 11/26/2014 12:51 PM expansion should be contained withing this brownfield site. Thus preserving the "green" nature of the area. Extra footpaths/cycle tracks perhaps but Ford is perfect as it is!

25 By keeping the area the same, no more development and keep the countryside. 11/26/2014 12:36 PM

26 Bus service from Ford to and . 11/26/2014 12:29 PM

27 Countryside and footpaths 11/26/2014 7:54 AM

28 Better lighting everywhere 11/26/2014 7:28 AM

29 Schools and surgeries 11/26/2014 7:21 AM

30 More lighting 11/26/2014 7:18 AM

31 More local shops 11/26/2014 7:11 AM

32 No more travellers 11/26/2014 7:04 AM

33 Reinstate Yapton railway station. Improve drainage on road south of Ford Station so pedestrians can get to and 11/24/2014 8:54 AM from the station without being soaked by cars driven through standing water. Focus local business less on heavy truck reliant companies - There are too many HGVS!

34 Foot path/cycle route down to A259. Join of both East and West Ford. 11/24/2014 8:44 AM

35 Less developed on green field sites. Slowing and reducing traffic in Burndell Road. 11/24/2014 8:35 AM

36 No more housing. 11/24/2014 8:24 AM

37 School surgeries parking and footpaths 11/23/2014 9:48 AM

39 By staying as it is. 11/23/2014 5:10 AM

40 A bank Adult Education Leisure Facility 11/23/2014 5:02 AM

41 Horses to be removed!!! No more industrial buildings to be built. 11/23/2014 4:28 AM

42 By taking traffic on Ford Road for the airfield, onto the road which runs on the other side of the airfield. 11/23/2014 4:05 AM

43 Get rid of horses on Ford estate. 11/23/2014 3:54 AM

44 Less industrial sites. 11/23/2014 3:49 AM

45 Make the railway station more accessible. 11/23/2014 3:34 AM

46 Unused agricultural areas could be used for local college/university research or specialist animals. 11/23/2014 3:23 AM

47 Housing targets in regenerating urban areas rather than using greenfield sites in local villages. 11/23/2014 3:11 AM

48 Leave it alone 11/21/2014 7:21 AM

49 Better roads, less housing, more village shops. 11/20/2014 6:39 AM

50 Something needs to be done at the Ford railway crossing for the traffic.Sometimes get held up by 5 + consecutive 11/20/2014 5:56 AM trains. About time a road bridge was considered.

51 There is NO village feel at all. It would be lovely to create one with a local shop or hall. 11/20/2014 4:09 AM

52 More cycle paths that offer continuos flow to littlehampton and bognor (+ further afield) The A259 is dangerous 11/20/2014 3:53 AM for cyclists.

53 More lighting and nice places to walk. 11/20/2014 2:18 AM

54 Less heavy lorries on narrow roads and going throug residential greens 11/20/2014 2:12 AM

55 Stop filling the village with houses 11/20/2014 1:54 AM

56 By not building so many houses. 11/17/2014 9:46 AM

57 By improving roads like Rolloston Park and monitoring speed limits. 11/17/2014 9:24 AM

58 Needs to be left alone. 11/17/2014 8:57 AM

59 I dont 11/17/2014 7:31 AM

60 The traffic is so bad we can't walk anywhere... 11/16/2014 2:23 PM

61 A footpath down Ford Lane 11/16/2014 12:56 PM

62 The roads need to be looked after better 11/16/2014 12:46 PM

63 Bus route yp and down ford road to tesco and arundel 11/16/2014 12:00 PM

64 Get rid of market stop lorries coming through village- very dangerous 11/16/2014 11:52 AM

5 / 41 Ford Neighbourhood Development Plan Survey

65 If limiting large lorries through the village it will encourage people to walk more Keep grass areas free from 11/16/2014 11:38 AM caravans and animals

66 Stop building so many houses We do not have the facilities to support the development 11/16/2014 11:01 AM

67 More parks and activities for young teenagers 11/16/2014 10:45 AM

68 Close the prinson, block the incinerator, reduce HGV movements 11/16/2014 8:29 AM

69 By keeping the countryside and making it more accessible to walkers and equestrians. 11/14/2014 3:02 AM

70 the area could be improved by removing all the cars in bilsham road and paint the flats opposite the old shoulder 11/8/2014 4:04 AM and mutton

71 Slowing down the roads Improving the schools Stop building on all our fields 11/4/2014 5:51 AM

1 Strongly against Crundon being allowed to build 2 x 50m chimneys 11/30/2014 4:08 PM

11 Better communication between the Parish council and residents 11/28/2014 12:43 PM

12 Listen to the people and stop developing and destroyed our peaceful town 11/28/2014 12:38 PM

13 Leaving due to grundon situation 11/28/2014 12:32 PM

14 More street lighting 11/28/2014 12:09 PM

15 No place for grundon waste area 11/28/2014 11:55 AM

16 Needs to be speed limits 11/28/2014 11:48 AM

17 As earlier - all plans for new building on virgin land - should include a requirement of landscaping and tree 11/28/2014 10:00 AM planting. So often this is included in the plans and then not executed. I believe there are many brown field sites for development in the area - old industrial estates and the like - use first before touching any green sites

18 We chose to live in Ford because of all the open space. If we wanted to be surrounded by houses + shops etc we 11/28/2014 9:53 AM would live in a town.

19 Moved here because it is like it is. 11/28/2014 9:46 AM

20 Good quality development. No more waste sites. Self build - 600 + houses needed. 11/28/2014 9:38 AM

21 No more development and too much traffic 11/27/2014 12:53 PM

22 No more houses 11/27/2014 12:43 PM

23 Whilst both building options are within Ford boundries, they will heavily impact on the village of Yapton which 11/26/2014 12:59 PM already has problems with schools, parking etc. I think a smaller development at the airfield is more acceptable - using brownfield site instead of destroying more countryside.

24 We love the country feel of our area and are disgusted by the thought of the Grunden plans spewing out pollution 11/26/2014 12:42 PM so near to housing development. Please don't ruin our lovely green spaces.

25 Ford road needs to be upgraded 11/26/2014 7:44 AM

26 More lighting near train station 11/26/2014 7:31 AM

27 No more development 11/26/2014 7:26 AM

28 I don't want development at all 11/26/2014 7:15 AM

29 Keep further development in line to keep Ford rural not make it into a town. Use the Frunden area for solar 11/24/2014 8:50 AM panels. On your plans you need to show what is proposed in Ford by Yapton and Climping

30 Along with the majority of residents in Burndell Road we object to the planned development of land south of 11/24/2014 8:42 AM Burndell Road due to flood risk and loss of green spaces.

31 Please leave our village alone where housing is concerned. 1 school! 1 Large supermarket! Roads, narrow, 11/24/2014 8:33 AM dangerous and conjested!

32 Disappointed and will be moving out from yapton due to the development 11/23/2014 9:43 AM

33 The stretch of road that is along Mallisau Drive, (near the post box) apparently is no man's land. This road always 11/23/2014 5:26 AM floods, is getting worse with the years, and green part alongside is a dumping ground. Can the council buy it and maintain it?

34 Leave things how they are - just do something about the horses! 11/23/2014 4:36 AM

35 Some of the traffic to and from the air field could be made to use the alternative entrance, thus relieving the 11/23/2014 4:14 AM people who live on Ford Road to a certain extent.

36 Get rid of the horses. 11/23/2014 3:57 AM

37 I am sad that the area of Rolloston Park is not maintained. It is just a mess. 11/23/2014 3:53 AM

38 Residents on my road where unable to vote in the referendum, the rest of the estate were. 11/23/2014 3:39 AM

39 Speed limit should be enforced. HGV should be directed onto A259 11/23/2014 3:33 AM

40 Ford is an agricultural area, no new houses are needed. 11/23/2014 3:29 AM

41 Community hub should include facilities for local businesses, a youth centre and cafe. 11/23/2014 3:21 AM

17 / 18 Ford Neighbourhood Development Plan Survey

42 I struggle to reach work due to flooding in the roads surrounding me every time it rains. Johnson Way and the 11/20/2014 7:00 AM start of the industrial estate MUST be tackled soon.

43 Ford does not have the road/rail infrastructure to cope with any large-scale developments. I moved here to enjoy 11/20/2014 6:10 AM the village feel and countryside. I don't want more development, pure and simple. The problems with travellers and their horses needs to be addressed. Sick of horses tethered on public space, causing mess and general anti- socialness

44 I think Ford NEEDS A COMMUNITY not an industrial estate. There is no nucleas, just a scattenury of large firms 11/20/2014 4:22 AM with large lawns and a ghastly smell from the "poo farm"!

45 I would like something done about the amount of horses tethered to various grass verges, onto pavements etc. 11/20/2014 4:08 AM It's like living at "The high Chaparal" at times. It's an accident waiting to happen.

46 Ford is ok by me but there is room for improvements, hope they get there while I'm still living. 11/20/2014 2:23 AM

47 Speed bumps needed. 11/20/2014 2:16 AM

48 Re-istablish missing trees and add additional to protect wildlife. Wildlife habitat is rapidly being destroyed! 11/20/2014 2:09 AM

49 No 11/17/2014 9:56 AM

50 Ford has not got enough space for more houses. 11/17/2014 9:29 AM

51 Development in the west must be in conjunction with development in Yapton. 11/17/2014 9:22 AM

52 You shouldn't build in Ford because of flooding risks 11/17/2014 9:01 AM

53 Stop all development Stop all new road plans 11/16/2014 1:06 PM

54 Thankyou for doing all this work 11/16/2014 12:55 PM

55 Markets need to go Unnecessary traffic in village Keep lorries completely away 11/16/2014 11:59 AM

56 Would like to see housing associations- to the parish council Please no incinerator cause it will be a night mare 11/16/2014 11:50 AM for such a scenic area Really worried about health effects

57 If you allow more building on agricultural land its lost forever. If you take it away slowly your still losing wildlife 11/16/2014 11:35 AM that depends on open spaces. We owe it to our future generations to preserve as much as our heritage as we can. A new house is only ever affordable the first time it is built and sold it becomes more expensive every time its sold

58 Lived in house for more than 15 years Heartbroken that buildings are being built in "back garden" If could move 11/16/2014 11:13 AM out i would
