Dear Guests of the 2017 Downtown Inc Masquerade :

We are counting down until we welcome you on Saturday, October 28th, to the Agricultural & Industrial Celebration, located at 217 W Princess St. The York County History Center is wrapping up their Capital Campaign and we’re ecstatic that they will be hosting us for the Masquerade Ball.

The starts at 6pm—doors will not open until that time. We prefer you to arrive fashionably late, rather than early! Guests will enjoy cocktails and butlered hors d’oeuvres from 6-7pm. Dinner stations will open around 7:15pm.

The entrance to the Ball will be through the courtyard on W. Princess Street. Be sure to visit the Members1st Red Carpet Susquehanna Style Scene photo booth on your way into the party.

If you are the guest of a corporate table or table host, please come to the check-in table with the name of your table host. If you purchased individual or couple tickets, please come to the check-in table with your name.

Printed tickets are not necessary – we will have a guest list at check-in.

Corporate table holders have assigned, reserved tables—your company logo will adorn your assigned table. There will be a key (to help corporate table holders find their tables) provided closer to the event date. All other ticketholders will enjoy the evening cocktail-style at high tables and various seating opportunities.

This year, we encourage pleasure seekers to embrace our industrial venue with steampunk-inspired accessories. We also recommend shopping from our plentiful downtown boutiques for your masks, attire, , and more!

 Parking. Parking is available in the lot directly across W. Princess Street from the museum. Additional parking is available in City Lot #9, accessible via W. King and S. Beaver Streets.

 Fundraiser. The Masquerade Ball is an amazing party, but it is also a fundraiser for Downtown Inc, so please come prepared to support your favorite downtown organization (that’s us!). There will be several donation spots set up around the venue, so come with cash on-hand! And speaking of cash…

 Cash Bar. A Cash Bar will be available all evening, offering beer, wine, cider and a signature cocktail, the Screaming Goat, presented by McCallister & Myers and Freedmont Mortgage. The cost of drinks at these bars is $5.

 Premium Cocktail Bar by Tutoni’s. For the first time ever, we will be offering a premium cocktail bar, located in the mezzanine level of the Hall of Giants. Provided by Tutoni’s, this bar will be able to accept both cash and credit.

 Dining Guests will enjoy butlered hors d'oeuvres from 6-7pm and main course & dessert stations that can be enjoyed at your leisure, beginning around 7:15pm; there will not be a seated, served meal and, as such, no reserved seating (other than for our corporate table sponsors). The evening is catered by The Accomac.

A.B. FARQUHAR COMPANY STATION A.B. Farquhar Company was a leading manufacturer of farm equipment with their main plant located on North George Street. This station will feature live vegetable plants, grass, seed packs, mulch and farm implements.

THE WEAVER PIANO & ORGAN COMPANY STATION “You have a wife, do not deceive her, But grace your parlor with a Weaver” This was the catchy slogan part of a larger poem used by Weaver Piano. This station will feature black linens with white accents, piano sheet music, a large metal keyboard and a larger poster of the poem.

CAMPBELL CHAIN COMPANY STATION Founded in 1919, Campbell Chain Company was a leading manufacturer of chain for the United States military. This station will feature a black linen with real chain, diamond plate and glass block lifters.

 Entertainment. Aortic Valve will be making a triumphant return as the entertainment for the evening. MINT Photo Booth will be on-hand to capture the evening’s festivities—be sure to share your photos on social media to show the folks at home what they’re missing with the hashtag #maskyork. Liette Monic, Modern Shaman, will provide tarot card readings sponsored by Harley-Davidson and Mel Conrad will bring his caricature-drawing talents, presented by Holy Hound Taproom (tips are appropriate and appreciated for readings and drawings).

The entire Agricultural and Industrial Museum will be open for your exploration and fun!

 Seating. Our guests who are attending thanks to our corporate table sponsors and table hosts will be seated at the appropriate company table—a key for corporate table holders will be provided closer to the event. Our guests that have purchased individual or couple tickets will have open seating for the evening.

Given the structure of the event and no served, seated meal, we are anticipating more of a , free-flowing feel for the event and hope guests will spend the evening dancing and mingling, rather than sitting!

 Arrival and Departure. The Masquerade Ball will begin with the reception hour at 6pm (and not before!), and will feature hors d’oeuvres, a Cash Bar, and entertainment not to be missed. The call for dinner will be made at 7:15pm, and dinner can be enjoyed at your leisure. Conversation, dancing, entertainment and more will take us to 11pm.
