What I have to offer

Wedding & Events Design is a full-service event planning and designing business founded in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Beyond just planning, I incorporate my love, passion, and eye for design in the business and the packages I offer. This, together with finding the best suited team of vendors, can help bring a client’s desires and vision to reality, while planning for their big day. With a heavy attention to detail and utilizing tools, such as profile questionnaires, mood boards, timelines, and providing my clients with useful resources such as checklists, requirements, and samples during the planning process, will help ensure their desires, wants, and (most importantly) their needs are met.

I offer six different wedding packages, along with ‘A la Carte’ options and add-on services that may be used individually or in conjunction with any package the client has chosen. The Perfect Proposal is where it all begins. My goal is to help alleviate the pressure that comes with “popping the big question” while executing a completely personal experience. Whether the that follow are simple civil ceremonies or lavish receptions, the full planning package ‘All of me’ and the partial planning packages ‘The months are flying by’ and ‘It’s only a week away’ are tailored to provide an exceptional experience. The "day-of' service ‘This is the Day’ allows me to ensure the already selected wedding vendors are on schedule and the wedding day goes smoothly. For those who don’t want a wedding planner, but need guidance, I offer a package of consultations via email.

In addition to the Wedding and Events Planner and Designer certifications, I have attained various degrees and experience in Culinary Arts, Accounting, Business Law, bartending, and Make-up Artistry. My experience and knowledge in these fields will ensure success in several aspects of the planning and vendor selection process. My company and services will be marketed through an array of communication platforms such as advertisements in bridal magazines, participation in bridal shows, posts in popular wedding websites and blogs, search engine optimization, mass email blasts, lead generation educational wedding sites, as well as social media sites like Instagram and Facebook. Over the next few years, I would like to employ a designer, a planner, and 4 coordinators, as well as host bridal workshops, both in person and stream online, while obtaining referrals by being added to the preferred vendor lists of popular and upscale venues. I will strive and dedicate myself to becoming an established, reputable, and renown wedding and event planning and designing business within the next decade, extending my services not only in South Florida, but across the USA.

My ongoing goal is to meld my client’s ideas with my expertise to make their event a truly unforgettable experience by putting the love for what I do into what I do.

Sincerely,

Yajaira Acevedo

Client Consultation

This afternoon, I had the pleasure of meeting Aiylah and her fiancé, Demitri, at Switchbox Coffee House, a swanky coffee bar in Fort Lauderdale, FL. During a complimentary consultation, I offered, I got to know their story and see their excitement for sharing life together. Demitri proposed to Aiylah on January 4, 2017 and they agreed to set that as their wedding date in 2018. I listened as they both shared their ideas of what their dream wedding would entail.

Consulting, planning, designing and coordination were all options I presented and discussed in detail to give the them as many options as possible. The packages discussed were:

 Day of  Week of  Month of  Full Service  Email consult only  A La Carte Services & Optional Add-On’s

After having gone through the options, we then went through the finer points of the full agreement to ensure they are clear and comfortable with all terms and conditions for my services. I provided Aiylah and Demitri with a copy of the initial contract and a profile questionnaire to complete, so that I could more deeply understand their styles and design expectations.

Aiylah inquired about my experience in the profession, as any bride-to-be would. I could sense I put her to ease when I shared my history and extensive experience of planning and coordinating multiple events from weddings, to birthday , and corporate events. Being able to think on my feet is a strong ability that helps to guarantee a memorable event. One such time was when a bride had forgotten her bouquet for the ceremony and called me panicking. Utilizing existing flowers from the reception center pieces, I made a new bouquet that was as elegant as the original and got it delivered in time for the scheduled procession.

As our time came to an end, I made sure they left with my wedding information package that includes a wedding calendar checklist, bridal party checklist, and theme suggestions, information and a sample of the marriage license application and requirements, and my preferred vendor list which offers discounts with select companies. This will be a very helpful resource as I guide them through the planning process and can be found in the pages following.

I look forward to designing and planning Aiylah and Demitri’s wedding, especially seeing the joy on their faces when their dreams become reality and graciously thanked them both for allowing me to be a part of making their dream wedding come true.
