FRIDAY. APRIL 5: FAMED SOPRANO ROBERTA ALEXANDER WILL SING AND COACH STUDENTS DURING MASTER CLASS AT UD

Hailed as one of America's most compelling contemporary singing actresses, soprano Roberta Alexander will perform and coach five vocal students at the University of Dayton in a free and public master class from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday. April 5, in the Music and Theatre Building room 104.

During the master class, Alexander will sing and provide guidance to students who will perform a variety of art-song and selections. Cameras will be permitted in class.

Internationally renowned for both vocal and dramatic skills, Alexander has performed throughout the United States and Europe in such roles as Mimi in Puccini's La Boheme and as Mozart heroines Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Donna Elvira in and Vitellia in .

A native of Yellow Springs, Alexander is currently in the Dayton area for a concert performance with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra AprillO at Memorial Hall.
