It involves the most qualified 0 ° ' 0 0 international and aims at testing synergies in order to get a prompt and effective emergency ° 4 0 response , with the objective of raising citizens and institutions' awareness on tsunami risk, 4 both through operating activities and knowledge diffusion. The TWIST exercise will be the first one on tsunami risk in the Mediterranenan Sea and include a simulated landslide of the submerged volcano Palinuro and the trigger of a tsunami wave that will hit the Salerno coast, in particular the area of the harbour. Other operating scenarios at sea and inshore are scheduled, along with activities of search and rescue of missing people. Responses of the national and local system will be tested, with the activation of various coordinating centres, and the involvement of international teams and European experts. Framework The products elaborated in the framework of current mapping in non-rush mode activation 0 0 are realized to the best of our ability, optimising the available data and information. All 0 0 0 0 geographic information has limitations due to scale, resolution, date and interpretation of the 7 7 2 2 original data sources. N " 0 N " 3 ' 0 9 Map Production 3 ' 5 ° 9 9 5 ° 3 The present map shows basic topographic features such as transportation, buildings, 9 3 settlements in the city of Salerno(Italy) These basic topographic features are derived from public datasets, refined by means of visual interpretation of pre-event image. All satellite images have been radiometrically enhanced and georeferenced. The estimated geometric accuracy of this product is 1 m CE90 or better, from native positional accuracy of the background airborne image . The estimated thematic accuracy of this product is 85% or better as it is based on visual interpretation of recognizable items on very high resolution optical imagery.
