    Shanghai, China, Sunday 6th May, 2007 KONICA MINOLTA Honda taken out of the Chinese GP KONICA MINOLTA Honda suffered their first DNF of the season so far in the Chinese GP today, following an early-race clash between Shinya Nakano and Tech 3 Yamaha’s Makoto Tamada. The incident happened towards the end of the third lap at the tight hairpin after the long back straight. It appeared that Tamada missed his braking point and lost the front of his Yamaha M1 unfortunately taking Nakano down with him. Thankfully neither rider was injured in the crash. Shinya had made a solid start from 10th on the grid and had climbed to eighth on the first lap before dropping back to 10th. Casey Stoner won the race on the Bridgestone-shod Ducati from Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) and John Hopkins (Suzuki). The Australian now leads the championship by an increased margin. The first Michelin-shod Honda home was Repsol Honda’s Dani Pedrosa, who won last year’s race. After a good start Shinya was battling with Chris Vermeulen (Suzuki) and then Makoto Tamada (Yamaha) before the incident happened.     THE APRILIA SUCCESS STORY BORN INTO RACING With 294 Grand Prix races won in Road Racing World Championship, Aprilia holds the record for the most wins of any European manufacturer in the history of maximum motorcycle competition.     PRESS RELEASE Stezzano, Italy, 31st July 2018 BREMBO CELEBRATES 40 YEARS OF WINNING IN MOTOGP August 20,1978 marked the first victory in the 500CC Class of the two-wheeled World Championship with Brembo brakes. Today, after 40 years, Brembo counts 472 victories in 500/MotoGP and is the choice of 100% of the riders. August 20th marks the 40th anniversary of Brembo's first victory in the premier class of the MotoGP World Championship. On August 20,1978 Virginio Ferrari, riding a Suzuki RG500 for the Gallina team, won the 500 class at the West German Grand Prix on the legendary 22.835 km Nürburgring circuit. At that time, Brembo had just a 100 employees and the unofficial Suzuki driven by Virginio Ferrari, in what was the premier class, the "500cc Class", had Brembo 2-piston calipers 38 mm Gold Series, an axial pump Brembo 15.87 and 2 front discs, also Brembo, in 280 mm cast iron.
