From Cross Country to Across the Globe Goodwell, Okla. — Plopped down in the middle of a country he had never visited, Jeff Flanagan, a 2008 Panhandle State University graduate, recently made a huge cultural, and even global, leap. Sports 5 Volleyball Vs. Texas A&M Commerce By Josh Edenborough

Tuesday, September 8, the OPSU volleyball team played a very talented Texas A&M Exero 01, 5555 BLA BLA BLA 5 Commerce Lions team in a double-header. In the first game, the Lions took the victory in 3 straight sets. The Aggies in both games had way too many mental mistakes, and gave away too many points due to their own errors. The Lions dominated the first set taking it 25-13, and OPSU played much better in the second 2 sets, but a few errors here and there led to Commerce taking them 25-18 and 25-20 to end the match. The Aggies looked to come out strong in the second match of the double header, but mental errors proved costly once again for OPSU. It seemed like the Lions took advantage of every Aggie mistake during the match and came out with another 3-set sweep. Commerce took the first set 25-15, followed it up in the next set with a 25-14 beating, and in the third and final set of the match took it 25-13. The Aggies will be back at home September 24 playing against a conference opponent Texas A&M International. They have a few road games between then as they work to improve so they can make a run during their conference schedule. Hector CoboS photo .
