Our Katrin brand was launched in 1974 and was one of the first professional tissue brands in Europe. The name “Katrin” and the now familiar products under this brand come from the Swedish Metsä Tissue mill Katrinefors, which was named after the wife of the founder.

Health authorities and various studies confirm: Washing your hands with warm water and soap is the best way to stay healthy because 80% of all infections are spread through contact. Unlike viruses, bacteria can mul- tiply among themselves. We find them in places such as lift buttons, door handles, computer mice, keyboards, mobile phones, etc. For instance, an average desk contains 400 times more bacteria than an average toilet seat.

Proper handwashing reduces costs The costs for good hygiene, as preventative health care, are negligibly low compared to hospital costs.
