BRISBANE SHOW MOVES TO A NEW VENUE…

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – MONDAY 6TH NOVEMBER 2017: After much feedback for a more intimate and partially seated venue closer to the CBD, the promoters have listened to the public and are moving the Brisbane concert of The Human League to The Tivoli Theatre (Fortitude Valley). The date will remain the same for the show – Sunday 17th December, with and Wa Wa Nee still as the support acts. All tickets previously purchased for Eatons Hill will automatically transfer over to The Tivoli Theatre.

David Bowie famously said of The Human League ‘’I have seen the future of Pop Music” and he wasn’t wrong. Decades later, they are still in high demand and touring. The Human League have become pop icons in their own lifetime, with a career in which they have earned a reputation for fantastic live shows, sold millions of , and inspired two generations worth of recording artists. They have had No. 1 singles across , Europe, the US, and undeniably given us some of the most memorable pop songs ever. Fans adored their unique mix of sound & image - from their beginnings as an artsy, avant-garde electronic band, to their chart-topping new wave hits of the 80s.

The Human League’s landmark , Dare, which was released in 1981, saw them blowup worldwide. It spawned the smash single, Don't You Want Me and followed on with favorites such as Love Action (I Believe In Love) and Open Your Heart. Dare was so successful that it went on to be included in Rolling Stone’s 100 Best Albums of the 80’s. In turn, the pop group constantly pushed forward, staying together and playing together. The story of The Human League encompasses three very distinct line-ups, all of which have their merits, but one thing unites them: The Human League are not just a pop group – they are possibly the last great pop group. Believe.

Pseudo Echo will support The Human League on their East Coast tour of Australia. They formed in 1982, releasing their first album, Autumnal Park, in 1984 which skyrocketed the band to household name status across the country. Their second album, , spawned another string of hits including its title track, Don't Go, Try, Living in a Dream and their remake of the Lipps, Inc. song . This particular song brought the group their biggest international success and spent seven weeks at No. 1 in Australia from December 1986. In 2012 Pseudo Echo celebrated their 30th anniversary and released their sixth studio album, Ultraviolet. Later this year, they will release their new single .

WA WA NEE broke the Australian tradition of pub rock in the mid-’80s with a combination of expertly packaged - pop, designed for a mass audience. WA WA NEE’s ascent of the Australian charts began with the April 1986 release of the single Stimulation, which peaked nationally at No. 2 on the Singles Chart. Three further singles also made the Australian Top 20 and their self-titled debut album yielded platinum sales of over 70,000 and a Top 30 hit in the US with Sugar Free. Sadly the band called it quits in 1988 though founding member, Paul Gray, has continued working as an in-demand writer, producer and musician between reformation shows.
