Sika Møbler was established in 1942 by Ankjær Andreasen. He only worked with the best wicker makers and together they perfected the art of wicker. His son Knud Andreasen took over the company in 1981, and in 2013 3rd generation Louise Andreasen became the main shareholder in Sika-Design and the legacy has continued. Each piece of furniture is still handcrafted with the same tradition for craftsmanship, comfort and quality that has caracterized Sika-Design for the past 70 years. Stackable ____________________ Several of our chairs are stackable, making them easy to store away during winter or after a busy day, getting ready for closing time at the café. The Scandinavian minimalist design is suitable everywhere. 2 Maintenance-free-materials __________________________ In demanding climates and with large spaces outside near the sea and in the burning sun, maintenance free furniture is an important asset for professionals. Sika-Design exterior weave is a fibre made of dyed and hardwearing polyethylene. The structure of the fibres and the weave provide flexibility and optimum comfort. Sika-Design weave is made to withstand weather conditions all over the world. All exterior furniture from Sika-Design is woven on aluminum or on a hot-dipped galvanized and powder coated steel frame. The Avantgarde collection is handwoven of a maintenancefree UV resistant Sika-Fibre which is mounted on a stable hot-dip galvanized frame. The Affaire collection is a combination of the amazing natural resource, Rattan and the fantastic man-made synthetic fibre. Georgia garden is romance, coziness and contemplation which make one’s mind drift on a dream trip to bygone times. Georgia garden is woven of maintenance-free fibres on aluminium frames. Icons exterior are original designs by Arne Jacobsen, Nanna Ditzel, Viggo Boesen and Franco Albini, made on aluminium frames woven with synthetic fibre. 4 Interior ___________________________ For the interior we offer the ICONS and ORIGINALS collection. Rattan is a 100% natural wooden material. Rattan is a very strong, but yet a lightweight material. Perfect for professionals who have to move furniture around. ICONS is a collection of designs by the respected designers Arne Jacobsen, Nanna & Jørgen Ditzel, Viggo Boesen, Franco Albini and R. Wengler. These designers were all significant to our design history of rattan furniture with their experimenting and groundbreaking designs.
