Our mission is to Impact Leaders, Infuse Culture and Ignite Mission as we bring people to Christ and, bring Christ to our communities in the Twenty-First Century. As a family of churches we have embraced aggressive goals for the year 2025. These goals consist of the following: 1. Sixty-five new congregations birthed by 2025. 2. Eighty per cent of CABC churches demonstrating a missional culture. 3. Actively developing effective, healthy Pastoral leadership. 4. Identifying, supporting and challenging effective, strong churches and volunteers to share resources with other churches for collaborative renewal. 5. Creating a Convention structure that adapts to changes but is sufficient to undergird the ministry of CABC churches. We are seeing these goals being fulfilled before our eyes and it is wonderful to witness God at work. Pastor’s lives and ministries are being strengthened as they work with Rev. Cheryl Ann Beals and take time for Spiritual Formation, prayer, reflection and peer group activity. More new congregations are coming into existence and we are hearing incredible stories about churches engaging their community through various means of outreach. In your hands is the 2014 Yearbook of our Convention of Atlantic Baptist Churches. The comprehensive financial reports found in this book are a tangible expression of our desire to be accountable to the delegates from the churches that own and support our Convention. We are grateful to your congregation for its ongoing financial support and we want to be as transparent as possible in order to help all those involved in our partnership see how carefully all contributions are treated. Also included in this Yearbook are some missional stories and statistics from our churches which you may find interesting and brief reports from our various ministries. The three streams were the Baptist Convention of the Maritime Provinces, The Free Christian Baptist Conference of New BrunswicK, and the Free Baptist Conference of Nova Scotia. The YearbooKs of the United Baptist Convention of the Maritime Provinces after the Union continued to date the number of Convention Assemblies, not from the date of the Union, but from the founding of the Baptist

    A Journey Through History – the Ancestry of Rebecca Crouse – Descendant of United Empire Loyalists Rebecca Crouse Dana C. Legassie 5/4/2017 A History of Samuel Miles Jones & Rebecca Crouse According to my research, based upon the information I have been given and tracked down through an on-line records search, I have found the following information concerning the union of Rebecca & Miles Jones. Up to this point, we were unable to find a maiden name for Rebecca. In most of the on-line and available census records, she is listed by her married name of Rebecca Jones. Through my mother and her sisters, we were able to establish a possible surname of CROUSE. Through a lucky hit on an internet genealogy web site, that supposition has been proven as correct. Stepping back a couple of generations the surname appears as CRAUSS in an earlier census (pre-1860) listing for Rebecca’s grandfather. But I digress, and will touch on this further in this essay. A bit of a history lesson is needed at this point for clarification of some dates and locations. Previous to 1784, the Province or British Colony of New Brunswick and the State of Maine did not exist as the area was part of the British Colonies of Nova Scotia and Massachusetts. Only through the American Revolution and an act of the British Parliament in 1784 did this area become the British Colony of New Brunswick and did not become a Province until the Act of Confederation in 1867. Some of the place names have changed or have been amalgamated into other larger nearby communities.
