Bibliography 52 V PREFACE This book is intended to serve as a framework for the ancient history of Indonesia in a concise form. Published for the first time more than a decade ago as a booklet in a modest cyclostyled shape by the Cultural Department of the Indonesian Embassy in India, it has been revised several times in Jakarta in the same form to keep up to date with new discoveries and current theories. Since it seemed to have filled a need felt by foreigners as well as Indonesians to obtain an elementary knowledge of Indonesia's past, it has been thought wise to publish it now in a printed form with the aim to reach a larger public than before. -

1 BAB I PENDAHULUAN 1.1 Latar Belakang Kerajaan Koto Besar
Two vessels of a domestic shipping line appear to have served as a transport vector for the Asian green mussel Perna viridis (Linnaeus, 1758) between regions. This species is indigenous in the western but not in the eastern part of the archipelago, separated historically by the Sunda Shelf. The green mussels collected from the hulls of the ferries when in eastern Indonesia showed a significantly lower body condition index than similar-sized individuals from three different western-Indonesian mussel populations. This was presumably due to reduced food supply during the ships’ voyages. Although this transport- induced food shortage may initially limit the invasive potential (through reduced reproductive rates) of the translocated individuals, the risk that the species will extend its distributional range further into eastern Indonesia is high. -
Tanah Liek Batik's Industry in West Sumatra
Advances in Economics, Business and Management Research (AEBMR), volume 92 3rd International Conference on Accounting, Management and Economics 2018 (ICAME 2018) Tanah Liek Batik’s Industry in West Sumatra (a Study of Development Problems) Rose Rahmidani1, Armiati2 and Dessi Susanti3 1Unversitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia, e-mail: [email protected] 2Unversitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia, e-mail: [email protected] 3Unversitas Negeri Padang, Indonesia, e-mail: [email protected] Abstract: This study aims to identify the problems faced by the Batik Tanah Liek industry in West Sumatra thus, based on this identification can be found a solution to solve the problem. The research method used is a qualitative method. The study was conducted in three locations, namely Dharmasraya District, South Coastal District and Padang City. Data collection was done by observation, and in-depth interviews. Data analysis techniques were carried out using qualitative analysis. The results showed that the problems faced by the Tanah Liek batik industry in West Sumatra were: expensive product prices, lack of promotion and marketing, difficulty obtaining additional capital, less strategic business locations, sources of raw materials from outside the island, difficulty in getting competent employees, support from the local government has not been maximized, business management has not been good, the marketing area is still limited, and quality is still inferior compared to batik from Java. Based on the description of the problems faced by batik Tanah Liek creative industry in West Sumatra, the alternative form or solution that can be done is; providing business capital assistance, providing training in promotion and marketing techniques, providing financial report writing training, providing trademark and copyright management training, providing business management training, providing production training for workers, and promoting batik Tanah Liek to all West Sumatran and outsiders West Sumatra. -
Bab 2 Landasan Teori
BAB 2 LANDASAN TEORI 2.1. Tinjauan Umum 2.1.1. -

Wolters The Palembang Coast during the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Centuries I had always supposed that the metropolitan centers of Srivijaya, though probably dispersed according to their royal, social, commercial, or food-supplying functions, were in the neighborhood o f modern Palem bang city. I was among those influenced by the presence there of seventh century inscriptions, and I also assumed that the area where Bukit Seguntang stood had long ago possessed relig iou s prestige among Malays and contributed to the fame of the Palembang area. I did not believe that the capital of Srivijaya had always been in the Palembang area. Palembang enjoyed this status from the seventh century until the second half of the eleventh, when the Malay overlord*s center was moved to the Jambi area where it remained until turbulent events in the second half of the fourteenth century set in train the foundation of the Malay maritime empire of Malacca by a Palembang prince. After the shift in political hegemony from Palembang to Jambi, perhaps only officials in the Chinese court anachronistically continued to use the expression "San-fo-ch*iM ("Srivijaya") to identify the prominent polit ica l center on the southeastern coast of Sumatra. -

Phytoplankton pigment analysis by using High Performance Liquid Chromatographer (HPLC) resulted in a set of pigments of chlorophyll-a (Chl-a), chlorophyll-b (Chl-b), chlorophyll-c (Chl-c), lutein, zeaxanthin, fucoxanthin, peridinin, diadinoxanthin, and ß-carotene. Linear multi regression and multivariate principal component analysis (PCA) showed that algae pigments correlate positively with nutrients and are not significantly correlated with underwater light and water transparency, suggesting important roles of nutrients for phytoplankton development in tropical estuaries. -
Seasonal Variability of Sea Surface Chlorophyll-A and Abundance of Pelagic fish in Lampung Bay, Southern Coastal Area of Sumatra, Indonesia

The observation result shows the variability of sea surface chlorophyll-a in Lampung Bay seems to be correlated with the monsoonal system that influences on the variability of the meteorological and oceanographic situation. In the wet season (northwest monsoon), the concentration of chlorophyll-a is high. It was suspected due to high precipitation during this season in which the coastal area was enriched by the nutrient load from the upper land area through the rivers and coastal discharge. While in the dry season (southeast monsoon), high concen- tration of the chlorophyll-a is stimulated by increasing nutrient concentration due to the upwelling. During these seasons, the abundance of the pelagic fish was high within this region. Key words: Seasonal variability, chlorophyll-a, pelagic fish, Lampung Bay sure over Asia and low air pressure over Australia are ob- Introduction served, allowing wet air transport (northwesterly wind) from the South China Sea to the Pacific Ocean across the Indone- Lampung Bay is a semi enclosed water ecosystem estu- sian archipelago. -
