FUNDAMENTOS Señora Presidente: Los días 5 y 13 de Noviembre pasado la Selección Argentina de Fútbol femenino disputó y logró la clasificación al Mundial de Fútbol femenino contra el seleccionado de Panamá. Tras haber quedado en tercer lugar en la Copa América de fútbol femenino, el seleccionado argentino que dirige Carlos Borrello, logró ingresar a la última instancia de repechaje y ganarse un lugar en el Mundial que tendrá sede en Francia el año entrante. Más allá del resultado obtenido, es de gran relevancia que podamos visibilizar el desempeño de nuestra selección de fútbol femenino, la que muchas veces pasa desapercibida. Los problemas y obstáculos que viven las mujeres y niñas que buscan practicar este deporte de forma profesional son muchos. Históricamente el fútbol ha sido catalogado como un deporte de varones, que no sólo se destacan en el campo de juego, sino que también ocupan los puestos directivos de cada club. Es en dicha dirigencia predominantemente masculina donde queda invisibilizada la gran proporción de mujeres que son socias (aproximadamente un 20% son mujeres) pero que no tienen representatividad en la toma de decisiones. En este sentido, las jugadoras del seleccionado argentino han buscado reivindicar la profesionalidad del fútbol. Es por esa razón que se organizaron para pedir al Comité Ejecutivo de la AFA por mejoras en las condiciones tanto de entrenamiento e indumentaria deportiva, como de viáticos y sponsors.
