More About... OUR TYPOGRAPHY Purchase Fonts Consistent use of typography makes an impression on the viewer, HOME Type Tips consciously or not. Specifying typefaces for Texas A&M helps OUR LOGOS reinforce a clear, consistent identity for the university. Two type Type vs Font families were carefully selected for communications materials: ITC OUR STATIONERY New Baskerville and Frutiger. ITC New Baskerville is a traditional Script Type serif typeface. Frutiger is a sans serif typeface with a clean, modern OUR COLORS IN PRINT look. These typefaces complement each other and work well with OUR TYPOGRAPHY our Primary Mark.
OUR WORDS A third typeface, Aachen, is offered to create emphasis. This typeface is appropriately used when you have a bold statement to OUR PHOTOS make, or your message is appealing to a younger audience. PRINT MEDIA DOWNLOADS Because Aachen can dominate a layout, we recommend you use it sparingly.
The fourth, Sloop, is a script typeface which is to be used only in certain instances.

OUR WEBSITES While in print publications, a designer can control the fonts used Fonts Online and how they render, there's less control on the Web. That being OUR COLORS AND TYPE the case, it's important to provide a number of possibilities if a ONLINE specific font is not available on the end-user's device. OUR PRESENTATIONS Serif fonts OUR EMAIL For printing, the serif font choice is New Baskerville. Since New OUR SOCIAL MEDIA Baskerville may not be on every device, an acceptable substitution would be either Georgia or Times New Roman. ELECTRONIC MEDIA DOWNLOADS For coding, we recommend the following "font-family" list:
"New Baskerville", Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif
Sans Serif fonts
For printing, the sans serif font is Frutiger. While we put Frutiger into our font-family, Microsoft's Segoe UI is a really close substitute system font. However, in case Segoe is not there, the default Arial and Helvetica are acceptable replacements. Verdana can also be used, but be aware that Verdana by design is larger than other similar fonts at the same size.
The font-family order and list for sans serif fonts is:
Frutiger, "Segoe UI", Arial, Helvetica, Verdana, sans-serif
