Programme, Invitations, Digital Communication ABOUT US A hallmark event on the artistic and cultural scene Under the auspices of the French Senate, the 1st Globes de Cristal Ceremony was held in March 2006. It is the only event in which those voting are not industry professionals, but specialised journalists. Since 2007, the Globes de Cristal have been broadcast on television. The event, the only one of its kind, reflects all the depth and breadth of contemporary artistic creation. In stride with the latest trends, the Globes de Cristal ceremony has become a major event which, this year, is opening up to the international scene with the arrival of new categories: “Best Foreign Film” and “Best Foreign Television Series”. For 10 years now, talented artists and leading figures have come together at the famed Lido de Paris, showing just how much this event means to them. Synonymous with flair and French savoir-faire , the event has become a must-see at the national level. A Must-attEND evenT 10 outstanding years of expertise A prestigious artistic ceremony With each year, its renown grows, under successive presidents: Patrick Poivre d’Arvor in 2006, Pierre Lescure in 2007, Bernard-Henri Levy in 2008, Jacques Attali in 2009, Denis Olivennes in 2010, Franz-Olivier Giesbert in 2011, Nicolas Demorand in 2012, Hervé Bourges in 2013, Guillaume Durand in 2014 and Christine Kelly in 2015. The film begins with Léa, the younger sister by fifteen years, picking Juliette up at the airport. We soon realize that the two sisters are almost complete strangers to each other. Juliette has just been released from prison after serving a long sentence. Léa was still a teenager when Juliette, a doctor, was convicted of the murder of her six-year-old son. Léa contacted Juliette when she was released and suggested that Juliette come to live with her. Juliette had no particular desire to see her sister again. Luc (Serge Hazanavicius), Léa’s husband, is quite reserved, almost hostile, about Juliette’s presence under their roof.

Their making usually reflects a determination on the part of the director or star to see the artist as an alter-ego. Many of them were adaptations of successful literary works, which tempted financial backers by having a ready-made audience based on a pre-established reputation. The sub-genre’s development is explored via the grouping of films with associated themes and the use of case studies.

150TH WINE SALE OF THE HOSPICES DE BEAUNE 21 NOVEMBER 2010 - The Hospices de Beaune and Christie’s are celebrating the 150th Wine Sale in China. - A new Cuvée : Santenay «Cuvée Christine Friedberg» - A famous Cuvée changes its name in honor of the King Louis XIV : « Cuvée du Roi Soleil » FROM BEAUNE TO BEIJIN China at the heart of the 150th Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction Two parts of the world each with a great history meet again: China and France, and in particular the renowned wine region Burgundy. This time, our two cultures are to meet thanks to a heritage which is becoming more and more universal: wine. At the heart of Burgundy, Beaune is the Capital City of wine, and the Hospices de Beaune Domaine stands as its incomparable and irreplaceable emblem. Since the 15th Century, Beaune and Hospices wines have been conveying the very special taste of our land. For the last 150 years, these wines have been reaching the rest of the world thanks to a charity auction. At the same time, we have been fortunate enough to have the chance to sample numerous varieties of the finest Chinese teas - something that our friends in China have for centuries been enjoying. We therefore know that you are sensitive to subtle nuances, and will appreciate the various expressions of our 'Climats', our vineyard plots. I look forward to seeing our worlds coming together more often, where we can rely on our common language, the language of wine. Alain Suguenot, President, Hospices de Beaune MP and Mayor of Beaune TO FOLLOW IN JOSEPH PÉTASSE FOOTSTEPS In 1443, Nicolas Rollin, Chancellor of the Philip le Bon, Duke of Burgundy, built a hospital for the poor in Baune at his own expense.
