It was the AGROTEC rallye show Modřice, an event not directly organised by the Agrotec Rally Club in AČR but event that sure does belong to the rally history of the region. Winners of the rally were Pavel Valoušek and Petr Novak with Toyota Corolla WRC. During the year of 2005 Agrotec autoklub Hustopeče in AČR was founded with the aim of organising its own rally with the rally centre in Hustopeče. This decision turned to reality with the first rally organised by the Agrotec autoklub – Agrotec Rally 2005 held on 14-15th of october 2005. It was official event but was not concluded in the FAS rally calender. However it was attended by FAS observers as organisers decided to candidate for next years czech rally championship event. Rally route was quite compact with 144,32 km. 19 crews out of 31 saw the finish line after 6 SS with 71,72 km. The rally was won by the crew Roman Odložilík – Miroslav Fanta with Renault Clio S 1600. Compact and demanding route stayed in organisers focus for the years to come. Agrotec Würth Rally Hustopeče 2006 was one of the events of Mistrovství České republiky ve sprintrally (Czech sprintrally championship) and was held on 14th and 15th April, exactly 6 months after the first edition. The route of 163,48 was challenged by 79 crews driving actual and historic rally cars. 48 crews made it to the finish after 6 SS and 75,56 competitive kilometres. First place was taken by Josef Semerád – Bohumil Ceplecha with Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, inbetween historic rally cars it was Lubomir Tenkl co-driven by Pavel Šubrt with Opel Kadett coupe. The 2007 edition took the rally again one step higher as a part of the Mistrovství České republiky v rally (Czech rally championship) with the name Agrotec Iveco rally Hustopeče. Right before the event one of foreign organisers asked the Agrotec autoklub organisers to become part of the European rally cup. The proceedings were abandoned, but the idea stayed in the organisers mind. FIA was asked to send its observer and complete the judgement upon accepting the rally to European cup – region Central. After the sun went down on Friday April the 20th first stage was driven by 75 crews. First leg driven during the night became next tradition of the rally in Hustopece. On Saturday April the 21st after 273,78km including 10 SS with 125,3 competitive kilometres 40 crews saw the finish line. Best performance was delivered by Leoš Flídr and Bohumil Ehl with Škoda Octavia WRC. Agrotec New Holland rally Hustopeče 2008, as a part of Mediasport MMČR v rally (Czech rally championship) and FIA European Cup – region CENTRAL (coeff. 2), was full or surprises. Rally route with 393,31 km has welcomed 51 crews. 14 SS with 189,7 competitive kilometres saw again first leg in the darkness of the night of 30th April. First stage was won by Vaclav Pech jr. with Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX, but after second test the 3 lead was taken by Jan Kopecky driving Peugeot 207 S 2000. Jan Kopecky has won four night stages. On Day 2 the demanding route and tropical heat took their share. SS 7., 8., 9., 10. a 11. were won by Jan Kopecky and gap to second Vaclav Pech jr. raised to 50,4 sec. But on SS 11 Peugeots engine signalised possible failure and Kopecky who started in Hustopece as a part of his preparation for Belgium Ypres Westhoek Rally (EC), did not take any risks and decided to quit. The lead went to Vaclav Pech jr. in front of Roman Kresta. Kresta fired great finish and won last three stages. However Pech has taken the victory by 3,5 seconds. Third place was taken by Jan Jelinek with Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX thanks to his steady performance. Only 25 crews saw the finish line. 5th edition with the name AGROTEC MOGUL rally Hustopeče 2009 was held at 12th and 13th of June. It was the 4th event of the Mediasport MMČR v rally (Czech rally championship) and also a part of FIA European Cup – region CENTRAL (coeff. 5). Centre of Leg 1 became the Trade Fair grounds (BVV) of Brno. Also the scrutineering, ceremonial start and SS1 were held there. Following eight SS were held in Hustopeče area. On Day 1 the weather became extremely severe with strong winds, rain storm and thunder storms. From 54 starters 43 saw the end of the day. Four SS were won by Roman Kresta, one by Vaclav Pech and one by Pavel Valousek. Leg 2 included 8 special stages, all of them in Hustopece area. Drivers from the top eight experienced massive problems and had to quit Jarostav Orsak (SS 10 – crash), Roman Odlozilik (SS 12 – wheel broken off), Petr Hozak (retired after SS 13) and Jaromir Tarabus (SS14- crash). Second day saw seven stage wins for Roman Kresta – Petr Gross, one SS win for Vaclav Pech jr. – Petr Uhel. Overall win was taken by Roman Kresta, followed by Vaclav Pech jr. trailing by 21,5 sec. Third place did go to Pavel Valousek with the gap of 2 min 12,8 sec. 32 crews made it to the finish. 6th edition- the AGROTEC MOGUL rally Hustopeče 2010 was held on 11. and 12. June 2010, again as a fourth round of the of the Mediasport MMČR v rally (Czech rally championship) and also a part of FIA European Cup – region CENTRAL (coeff. 5). Whole rally returned to Hustopece area. New element was the service park at the airfield of Popice. The weather was typical for this time of the year with temperatures rising above 30 deg. Celsius. Road book was taken by 42 crews. Including the favourites Pech jr., Kresta and Valousek. Those crews have been in front during the first section with Kresta leading and Pech jr. being secong by only 0,6sec. Valousek was third with +8,1 sec. Second section driven at night changed the order with Pech jr. leading, Valousek in second and Kresta third. Whole day saw only one driver except those three in top three times- Jaromir Tarabus was third on stage 1. Leg one was completed by 30 crews. Leg 2 consisted again of two sections. The leading trio continued heavy fighting. Rankings did not change but times were very close. Ranks 6-10 changed after every stage. Vaclav Pech jr. was able to keep the lead until the finish, Pavel Valousek finished second, Roman Kresta third. Finish line saw 25 crews out of 42. Previous Winners 2005 Roman Odložilík – Miroslav Fanta Renault Clio S 1600 2006 Josef Semerád – Bohumil Ceplecha Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX 2007 Leoš Flídr – Bohumil Ehl Škoda Octavia WRC 2008 Václav Pech – Petr Uhel Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX 2009 Roman Kresta – Petr Gross Peugeot 207 S2000 2010 Václav Pech – Petr Uhel Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX 2011 Jan Kopecký-Petr Starý Škoda Fabia S2000 4 AGROTEC MOGUL rally 2011 7th edition of AGROTEC MOGUL rally Hustopeče 2011 was held on 10th and 11th June, as a fourth round of the of the Mediasport MMČR v rally (Czech rally championship) and also a part of FIA European Cup – region CENTRAL (coeff. 5). Service area was again at the Popice airfield and auxiliary service zone was placed in Hustopece. Rally preparation was affected by rain storms on Wednesday before the rally. Many parts of the route were flooded and damaged. But close to everything has been cleaned and fixed until Thursday night. 52 crews attended the administrative checks. Favourites to count with were Vaclav Pech jr., Roman Kresta, Pavel Valousek and Jan Kopecky. These drivers were the fastest in the opening stages. Pavel Valousek made a mistake on SS 4 and so the fight for the win in Leg 1 was between the other three who drifted away from the rest of the field. Big surprise was Vaclav Arazim who seemed to have stayed forever young and kept the pace. Rankings after Leg one: 1. Kopecký Jan - Starý Petr Škoda Fabia S2000 2. • Press Information
PRESS INFORMATION HIRVONEN POWERS TO WRC CENTURY IN TURKEY KEMER, 15 June 2008 - Ford today claimed a record-breaking 100th consecutive points finish in the FIA World Rally Championship with the Focus RS World Rally Car. It became the first manufacturer since the launch of the championship in 1973 to reach a century of successive scores (see below) on the Rally of Turkey thanks to Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen claiming their second win of the FIA World Rally Championship season in a Ford Focus RS World Rally Car, and team-mates Jari-Matti Latvala and Miikka Anttila just 7,9 sec behind in another Focus RS as Ford extended its lead in the manufacturers' series to nine points. After dominating Friday's opening leg to hold first and second, Hirvonen and Latvala deliberately eased their pace in the final few metres to drop down the leaderboard to gain better road conditions yesterday. A lower start position meant they avoided the huge disadvantage of being first and second on roads covered by slippery loose gravel. Instead, they benefited from the cleaning process of the cars ahead, who swept stones from the surface to leave a cleaner and faster line on which to attack. Ford's Finns rocketed back to first and second yesterday morning and attacked hard to build as big a lead as possible over championship rival Sébastien Loeb, who swept the roads, in third. Hirvonen and Latvala had the unwanted 'cleaning' role today, but the buffer was big enough to hold off a determined charge from Loeb during the final 31, 03 km speed test to claim the team's second 1-2 of the season.
