Lasted 11 years & left almost completely destroyed • Unification/Azuchi-Momoyama Period • Started by Oda Nobunaga & finished & maintained by Hideyoshi Toyotomi & then Ieyasu Tokugawa • • ’s forces vs. Mitsunai Ishida’s forces post Hideyoshi Toyotomi’s (1598) & (1599) death since Mitsunari accused Ieyasu of disloyalty to Toyotomi • • The last Shogunate & when could • Shogunate-A system in government put in place by the present feudal dictatorship at the time
