It is essential for our members to clearly understand our PC committee is a sub committee totally responsible to the Board at Coast FM. I am pleased to say we have met with the new Board already and it will be essential that further meetings take place during the year. We are blessed at Coast to have a wonderful group of Presenter/volunteers who have regular shows, who in their own particular style present programmes to the best of their ability. This has been shown very recently re our standing in this State where the McNair survey showed clearly that our station is the third most popular Community station in South Australia. Well done to all presenter/volunteers and dedicated listeners who are making this happen. Since starting, there have been some changes of Presenters and shows at Coast. To keep up to date with the latest changes please check our website and or collect our latest Programme Information which has recently had a very positive revamp. I would like to acknowledge one presenter, John Gillman who is retiring from the show Vets on Air. John has presented over 800 shows and has been a dedicated and passionate presenter with this show. Thank you for your great efforts and feel proud of what you have achieved. Finally, if you are a regular listener to Coast FM you will hear our listeners are now being given every opportunity to “Have their Say” re programmes presented on Coast FM. This includes, most importantly, positive feedback to our presenters. My challenge to our members and listeners is to give us your comments via email. I only ask members/listeners in their criticism of any show/presenter that it not be personal. If there is a concern, please suggest how we could do better. It is so easy to criticise but to come up with better ideas and presentations can be a real challenge - I look forward to your comments. Continue to enjoy what our wonderful station has to offer.
