2002 – 2008 Grants and Programs Manager, Midwest AIDS Prevention Project, Ferndale, Michigan, USA. Managed an HIV counseling/testing program, conducted evaluations on community-based programs, conducted HIV counseling/testing in the community, conducted presentations on HIV/AIDS and LGBTQ sensitivity in schools and health clinics, wrote and submitted grant proposals, managed and monitored federal and state grants, arranged meetings and trainings, and organized fundraising events.

1998 – 1999 Program Director, Affirmations Community Center, Ferndale, Michigan, USA. Managed adult education and social programs for the LGBTQ community, recruited and trained volunteers, supervised front-line staff and volunteers, wrote and submitted grant proposals, organized fundraising events, and engaged in speaking events focused on educating the community on LGBTQ issues.

1997 – 1998 Community Education Intern, Planned Parenthood of Mid-Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. Assisted with the design and implementation of “Baby Think It Over”, a teen pregnancy prevention program, assisted with the design of a community-based training on HIV/AIDS, attended meetings for collaboration with other health-based organizations in Michigan.

1996 – 1997 Family Therapist Intern, Vista Maria, Dearborn, Michigan, USA. Provided individual and family therapy once a week to teen girls in conflict with the law through a daytime rehabilitation program.
