38 ADELAIDE TURF CRICKET ASSOCIATION INC

TREASURERS REPORT

FOR THE TWELVE MONTHS ENDED 31 MAY 2006

Please find accompanying this report the financial statements for the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association Inc (ATCA) for the twelve months ended 31 May 2006.

The past two financial years have seen the Association's financial affairs now structured in a manner that is sustainable, allowing for the development of the Association and its members, while retaining the current level of financial reserves and the security this provides.

The Board's objective then for the 2006 year was to operate the Association with a small financial surplus. The financial statements depict the achievement of this objective.

The following points are noted:

Income generated was in line with expectations, Further amounts were received from the previous General Manager through the courts, Expenditure includes that associated with the `Interstate Match', this is not an annual cost, General Manager costs were lower during the year due to the period between A Ramsay departing and the commencement of R Darling, Other expenditure was controlled within planned levels.

The Board considers that the Association's Funds are adequate in order to allow the Association to:

operate during the off season, operate with an appropriate level of financial security, and take advantage of any opportunities that may arise.

As we move into the 2007 season, the Board's financial objective is unchanged, the Association's budget will again be framed towards achieving a small financial surplus for the year.
