We are excited to introduce the City’s newest professional CITY COUNCIL theatre project, Broadway at the Gardens as it presents its first Donald J. No stranger to this theatre, he recently directed our productions of The Secret Garden and Joseph… Dreamcoat. He also made a brief appearance here as the Duke in Big River directed by Susan Sluka- Kelly. Other favorite roles include Eric in Phantom , Capt Von Trapp in The Sound of Music , Oscar in Sweet Charity , The Cat in Honk! and Frank in Annie Get Your Gun . He appeared as Frank-n-Furter in the Hawaiian Premiere of The Rocky Horror Show , and Off Broadway in A ChristmasTwist and Wuthering Heights , the Musical . Last year he won an ITL award for his performance as Michael in I Do! I Do!, Jud in Oklahoma and as Cervantes/Quixote in Performance Riverside's production of Man of LaMancha . Recently John became the artistic director of the Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont. He will be reprising his role in Man of LaMancha during their 2009 season.
