APPENDIX H NRHP-listed Architectural Historic Properties and Districts in the Plan Area November 2014 Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement This appendix lists the architectural historic properties and districts in the Plan area that are National Historic Landmarks or are listed in the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). The list is based on data from the Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP 2014). The Figure ID numbers in Table H-1 correspond to those ID numbers on Figure H-1 through Figure H-3 while the Figure ID numbers in Table H-2 correspond to those ID numbers on Figure H-4 and Figure H-5. DAHP also maintains records of previously recorded archaeological sites and traditional cultural properties. However, site-specific information about these properties is exempt from public disclosure under state law (RCW 42.56.300) to prevent looting and vandalism. Table H-1. Seattle Department of Transportation LEVY TO MOVE SEATTLE 2018 ANNUAL REPORT Published: March 2019 MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR We are building a city of the future with fewer cars, more transit, and less climate pollution. The Levy to Move Seattle is critical in delivering on that shared vision for a world-class transportation system that connects people to jobs, training, school, health care, and opportunity, and provides safe options for driving, walking, and biking. We have a responsibility to deliver on our promises to voters for safer streets, better roads, and more reliable transit options. That’s why in 2018, I asked the Seattle Department of Transportation to ensure we have a realistic plan for delivering on our Move Seattle investments, and to listen to the community on the investments that are most important to them. Now, we have a blueprint and clear path forward for delivering on Move Seattle investments. This report shows that we are making progress on delivering on some of the promises made and better aligning projects with the resources we have. The City of Seattle will continue to be accountable and transparent, and we will continue to partner with community to keep building a city of the future. Jenny Durkan, Mayor MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR I am pleased to present my first Move Seattle report as Director of SDOT. This report memorializes an important year and substantial work that was accomplished, both to deliver on Levy commitments and to evaluate the Levy overall, through the Move Seattle Assessment. At Mayor Durkan’s direction and with help from the Move Seattle Levy Oversight Committee, our modal advisory boards, and third-party consultants, SDOT carefully analyzed the Move Seattle Assessment and published the Updated Workplan Report that outlines a clear and measurable plan for the remaining years of the Levy.

HistoryLink.org Supplement for Washington: A State of Contrasts 1 Washington: A State of Contrasts has been identified as the most commonly used Washington state History textbook for 7th and 8th grades for the 2011-12 school year. Using this textbook as a base for identifying the specific themes and topics that are being covered in required Pacific Northwest History middle school classes, the Education Team at HistoryLink.org has created this supplement for teacher and students. This supplement was developed as a tool to assist in identifying HistoryLink.org essays that can be used to study and research the state history themes and topic in more depth. The name of each relevant essay is listed as well as the abstract, number, and link to the full essay. This supplement also aids HistoryLink.org in identifying general or specific topics for which more essays are needed or would be helpful in the Washington state History classroom. In addition, as a part of this exercise, HistoryLink.org staff assigned appropriate key words to selected essays to match those used in this textbook. TRANSPORTATION LEVY TO TRANSPORTATIONMOVE LEVYSEATTLE TO MOVE SEATTLE + + + + + + PROPOSED LEVY INVESTMENTS BY COUNCIL DISTRICT Council District 1 June 2015 District 1: Project Spotlights – Fauntleroy Boulevard and 35th Ave Corridor The Fauntleroy Way SW Boulevard project would transform a critical West Seattle roadway, where nearby uses are changing at a rapid clip, into a modern and complete corridor. Key elements include paving, adding a protected bike lane, transit enhancements, and signal upgrades, improving safety and reliability for all travelers. 35th Avenue SW is another key corridor, with 16,500 vehicles per day at SW Roxbury St, and over 24,000 vehicles per day at SW Alaska St. Over the last three years, 294 collisions, 128 injuries, and 2 fatalities have occurred. We are currently planning and designing near-term safety improvements paired with education and enforcement, working towards the city’s Vision Zero goal of ending traffic deaths and serious injuries by 2030. The levy would provide funding to make safety improvements like redesigning the roadway. Meeting Citywide and Neighborhood Needs The proposed Levy to Move Seattle addresses citywide transportation needs – improving corridors that connect neighborhoods, increasing access to our regional light rail system, building a safer, more connected bike network, ensuring goods can get in and around the city, and paving major streets that serve the most people and goods. It also proposes funding smaller, more local projects like curb ramps, intersection safety improvements, and sidewalk repair so you can get around your neighborhood safely and comfortably. Together, the proposed investments aim to take care of today’s basic needs while also investing in the future, to serve a growing Seattle.
