Views expressed in articles are the opinion of the individual writer only, not necessarily the collective view of the Society. Speaker for August 20th, 2017 Nancy Parker - Seashell Healing - ancy is the owner and Director of NShell Essences. Her passions are shells; animals – especially dogs; our beau- tiful planet; vibrational medicine; assisting humankind to develop expanded wisdom and knowledge, and sharing her passions with others.

Nancy will introduce Shell Essences. They are vibrational remedies created by a meth- od similar to that pioneered by Dr.Bach of Bach Flower Remedies. Each Shell Essence is made from an imprint, or vibration, contained within the calcium body of a specific and very special in- dividual shell or fossil. They release unconscious negative memories from childhood, family tree experiences and other lifetimes.

Shell Essences heal the past, to create a positive future of love, com- passion & oneness. We cannot move into the higher vibrational en- ergy, which defines whom we really are, while our energy is still streaming the old stuff we have inherited and carried for many, many generations.

Fear, conflict and competition have been the defining energy we have all carried for aeons. We need to release this to create a more harmo- nious flow instead of the old, tight restricted pattern.

Page 2 Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 From the Editor travel the world extensively and everywhere I go, the main news is Ibleak and bad, mostly due to decisions made by the ‘very few at the top’. Yet everywhere I go, I see people, ‘the many at the bottom’, living their with little or no connection with the decisions made at the top, and the sad aspect of the official news. The contrast is stunning when you see what a difference one human -be ing can make. This happened while I was in Miami: A group of swim- mers, including an older lady, was caught in a powerful rip. Police and Coast guards could not make it on time. One guy called Derek said “Let’s try to get as many people as we can to form a human chain. We’ll get out there and pull them in and everybody can finish having a good rest of the evening.” So dozens of beach-goers formed a human chain stretching almost 100 yards into the Gulf of Mexico to rescue the group of swimmers. It was a wave of humanity that brings some things back into fo- cus, that maybe we haven’t lost all hope in this world. I saw local people tending their vegetable backyards in Yaroslavl, Russia. A month later, I saw people do the same in Half Moon Bay, California. I saw no difference, save the language. They both loved , loved their gardens, just wanted to live in peace. I think that all the dowsers in the world should, may and can make a dif- ference to this world; like Derek who took upon himself to round up the people on the beach to save the group of swimmers. How can you help? Dowse for Peace, maybe? Until next time François

or the whole of my life - some 36 years - I’ve never known really good Fhealth and have hardly attended school at all, and education to me has been from books, etc., and speech - all this due to a giant allergy known as Angio Neurotic Oedema; which in the last 20 years, has taken from my family nine members, including my mother and younger broth- er, both of whom choked to death with it.

Parts of the body swell to such an extent we look like balloons. Any part can swell, not as in ordinary allergies. Also, unlike ordinary allergies, we are allergic to the drugs and medicines which usually help most people and these make us worse; no one seemed to be able to find out what caused it, males and females being more or less equally affected.

I found an almost vegetarian diet suited me, failing though, to give me all I needed because I lacked energy and my hair was dry and lifeless.

Then perchance I mentioned this state of affairs to Mrs. Seal, a dowser. I was feeling depressed, as my husband has had cancer and I was not un- naturally worried.

She mentioned she was off again to the south-west African territories and we talked of . She invited me to try and see if I, or my husband, could do it.

It worked wonderfully well with me and gradually I sorted my foods out into several sorts, ‘good, all right in small amounts, acid, useless and poison- ous’.

I’ve gradually sorted them out so that now I no longer live in fear of the swellings, but even if I do get a small attack, I now know that large amounts of lemon juice virtually control it. Sugar, jams, honey, fats, bis- Page 4 Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 cuits, starch, soft drinks, wine, aspro, aspirin drugs of any sort seem to be lethal according to my pendulum, so too oranges, pork, fish and beef.

Also various flowers; dahlias, roses, etc., seem to be the worst. I’ve also tried the pendulum on my young daughter of 10 & 1/2 years, and find she has a slightly different list of foods to which she is allergic, but basically they remain the same.

We both feel much better and no one can believe how wonderful it is not to be ill for three weeks at a stretch. I do find, however, that the men- strual period changes a lot of my “good” foods to the “not so good” list, it also reduces my power to dowse to some extent.

Should anyone suffering from this awful complaint try dowsing, it worked for me.

According to Professor Forman at the teaching hospital here, (Groote Schuur) I am the only white patient known in South Africa with this complaint, although I believe there is a coloured family with the same complaint too. Hence perhaps, its apparent incurable state. I believe there is a family in the Liverpool area of England and others in Ontario.

However, I feel a lot of allergies could be helped by dowsing. I have al- ready helped one man here and although his cure is not finished, he is definitely improved.

Perhaps I should add I was rushed to hospital several times. At long last I believe I have it controlled, if not cured - thanks to dowsing and to Mrs. Seal for her wonderful help and encouragement over the past months.

Our grateful thanks to a special friend of the DSV. She has anonymously con- tributed a part translation of her Hungarian uncle’s book, “Fight Against Cancer”, published in 1998. His work was valuable to many and also ac- knowledged by the Hungarian government.

fter my Uncle Ivan graduated in Forest Engineering in 1945, he Aregularly engaged in water divining. His work was acknowledged nation-wide by farmers, co-ops, state farms, companies and private farm- ers whose water problems he solved. Ivan was actively searching and find- ing water until the mid 1990s. He observed the same phenomena as had well-known Dr. Michael Hernadi and came to the same conclusions. He noticed that some people developed cancer, leukemia, heart and joint problems when their beds were placed over water veins that passed through the earth layers as back-fillers for the River Danube.

Dr. Michel Hernadi consolidated his studies on asthma, joint pain, leu- kemia, brain tumors, several types of cancer and heart problems in 1954. He had observed that patients whose beds were positioned over some particular water veins for a prolonged time, developed these illnesses, despite successful medical intervention, when they continued sleeping in the same place. They usually passed away within one year. However, those who moved houses, or moved their bed to another, non-radioactive place, recovered to enjoy full health in a short time.

Dr. Hernadi handed his studies in to the Hungarian Academy of Sci- ences. Unfortunately, his ideas were rejected outright by the Board.

In my uncle’s book, Ivan explains that this method of water finding is several thousands of years old, and had been used by the Chinese, the Hindus, Egyptians and Israelites. They used a “Y” shaped wooden rod, or the like.

Page 6 Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 Ivan’s Editor’s office used to be inundated with letters of gratitude from farmers thanking him for finding water with his simple “Y” shaped steel rod.

Most sophisticated devices couldn’t.

In one of his articles Ivan writes: Radiation is a kind of energy that can effectively cause such changes in the body, that people who are very sen- sitive to it, can develop serious illnesses. These radiations can come either from the Cosmos, or from materials in the earth that are themselves ra- dioactive. However the human body has become used to mild radiations over millions of years – although there are some people who are very sensitive to magnetic anomalies and even mild radiations.

Magnetic anomalies can be found over the water veins and in the cracks of rock surfaces. The radiations are much stronger in these places. The moving water in the earth layers creates electromagnetic fields by moving through rocks. Also the water veins move through radioactive material in the earth itself. Radioactive Radon Gas is absorbed in the water that can- not evaporate due to the pressure from the earth itself.

The normal background radia- tion, that a human body can tol- erate is 60-90 impulse/minute. This radiation can be measured with the Geiger-Muller radiation detector.

Brick houses are more or less ra- dioactive due to the clay from which the bricks are made. The background radiation of the brick is about 90-120 impulses/minute. Some concrete-panels that the modern high-rises are built of are made with clinkers that have a much higher radiation than brick. They’re about 150-200 impulses/minute.

Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 Page 7 It would be a very good practice to measure the radiation with the Geiger Muller detector when building houses to determine where the least ra- diation is. The furniture, the walls, tiles and the ceiling should also be measured. Unfortunately radioactive clinkers are used under parquetry, or floor boards, as fillers. The radiation is about six to eight times higher in these areas.

Ivan also gives some interest- ing accounts in relation to his work with the Geiger-Muller Radiation Detector.

The following happened in my own family in the early 1960s.

I visited my brother on the morning of Christmas Eve. My brother’s wife opened the door with her eyes bawled out. I asked: “What happened? Did you have a fight instead of showing love on this Big Day?”

“Oh, the trouble is much greater than that,” my brother’s wife replied. “My sister, Helen has been taken to hospital with internal bleeding. The family thought that it was only haemorrhoids, and that she’d be released soon. It turns out that she has cancer.”

“Cancer can be cured much better nowadays, than it used to be in the past.” I tried to console my sister-in-law.”

“Unfortunately not,” she said. “The doctors discovered cancer in the uterus, the rectum and in the stomach. They tried to operate on Helen, however when they sewed the incision back they saw that the cancer had spread everywhere. They told us to give Helen everything she wanted as she hadn’t much time left. Yet, she had never had any health problems previously. She had been very healthy.”

She had moved into another apartment three years prior, changing from

Page 8 Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 the ground floor to the 3rd floor of the building opposite. “She had been very healthy in the ground floor flat.” And now, all of a sudden they had found her condition to be incurable.

I asked my brother then, whether he wanted to come with me to Helen’s flat the next day to measure the radiation.

I discovered that there were several water veins moving under Helen’s flat in an X-shape. These veins were feeding the River Danube. Helen’s bed was placed on this X-shaped water vein in a way that the middle part of Helen’s body was exactly on this cross. My brother and I immediately moved the bed to a radiation-safe place and Helen started to get better, day-by-day. By the next December she was feeling so well that she an- nounced to the whole family, that she was going back to work from January. She lived healthily for another 12 years. Eventually she passed away from a lung embolism. However, the cancer never returned.

Ivan on High Blood Pressure: At the end of 1985 a young woman visited me, and anxiously told me that her 9 year old son had been suffering from high blood pressure. He’d been to hospital several times, staying there for three months on each occasion. The doctors’ brilliant work had always cured him. How- ever he developed high blood pressure again shortly after his return home from the hospital.

The woman asked whether I’d be willing to go to their home and measure their place with the Geiger-Muller radiation detector. When I visited them in January 1986, the boy’s blood pressure measured 200/120. Their house was built on the mountain side (Mount Gellert) where there were several water veins feeding the River Danube.

First, I needed to determine the direction of the water veins, then the width and drift, and the current of the water. Then, using the GM detec- tor, I measured where the least radiation was, where the water vein was the least harmful. I found the most harmful radiation was under the boy’s Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 Page 9 head, where the radiation measured 150-160 impulse/minute. We moved the bed to a more neutral place and the boy’s high blood pressure dissi- pated in a very short time.

Ivan on Asthma: At Christmas 1985 a young man visited me at 9 pm. He said that they had moved into a newly built apartment with wall-to-wall carpet and new fixtures and fittings. He said that their 18 month old daughter has been suffering from asthma. They pulled up all the carpets, the wallpaper and they replaced the carpets with parquetry. Nothing helped the little girl.

She had to be hospitalised as she regularly had asthma attacks. Her prob- lems dissolved in the hospital. However when she was released back home, she started getting the attacks again. I visited them the next day, and noticed that the whole place was immaculate. Even the air in the area was very clean. No smog, or industrial fume. I prepared some sketch- es after measuring for radiation, and I drew the direction of the water vein, the width and the mid-part of the movement.

The little girl’s bed was po- sitioned in the cross, or X- Shape of the water-vein.

They explained that they placed the bed there to avoid the draft from the windows and doors.

However, they hadn’t realised that their chosen spot was the worst place among all the places for their daughter to sleep.

The dangerous zone was crossing the little girl’s chest and back. We re- moved the bed to a safer place. Six months after my visit, I received a very nice letter from the parents, happily telling me that their daughter

Page 10 Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 was no longer having any asthma attacks and that she was a very happy, healthy little girl.

Ivan on Leukemia: An acquaintance of mine visited me in 1985, complaining that his 4 year old grandson has been suffering from leukemia since he was very little. He’d been getting treatments in hospital, however they weren’t helping him. The last time he received some very strong radiation treatment, all his hair fell out.

I agreed to visit the next day to measure the grandson’s home. Again, I determined the direction of the water vein, then the width and the mid- dle of the vein. Then I used my GM detector. There were two water veins going in the Danube’s direction. The dangerous zones of the water veins were crossing each other exactly under the head area of the child’s bed.

The device showed 134-140 impulses/minute radiation. The child was very sensitive to the magnetic anomalies. I suggested that they move the bed to a much safer place, and they agreed. Together with the radiation treatments and the replacing of the bed, the little boy gradually gained strength and regained his full health within two years. His hair also grew back. He became a very healthy teenager.

Ivan on Joint problems: I received a letter from Budapest in July of 1986. I used to live 60 km away from Budapest back then. The letter came from a family, whose members had been suffering from severe joint pains. They’d tried every- thing, but nothing seemed to alleviate their pains. Their house was built on the side of a mountain in Buda, the other side of the River Danube, the hilly part. There were several water veins feeding the Danube from under this mountain as well. One of them was just under their son’s bed.

The damaging and dangerous effects were multiplying in the joining point of the X-shape. Unfortunately the son’s bed was just above this

Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 Page 11 crossing. The 27 year old was an architect, and his work desk was placed above another water-vein crossing. So, he spent his sleep-time over one of these crossings and spent his waking time, working over the other crossing, 10 hours/day. That was approximately 18 hours that he was subjected to the strong radiation.

The parents’ bed in the other room wasn’t better. They were sleeping over another cross-stream and as a result of this, they suffered from acute joint pain too. The mother had had some serious operation previously, and the father had hip and knee-joint problems. After measuring their place for radiation, I suggested a radiation-free place for their bed.

Thus, they placed their son’s bed against the opposite wall, and his work desk to the parent’s bedroom where he wasn’t subjected to the strong ra- diation. The parents moved their own bed into the corner near the win- dow where there was very little radiation, which was not dangerous.

Then the father called me on the phone about six months after I visited them. He happily told me the good news that the whole family’s health had markedly improved. He was also an architect, however he worked only part-time, being an age pensioner. He told me that he’d tell his col- leagues in the office to take the radiation into consideration when they designed homes. Knowing these things can save thousands of lives.

Ivan on Radiation in homes: In 1985 another acquaintance of mine asked me to measure their home with my GM detector. He said that his children had been suffering from asthma since they’ve moved into this new home on the hilly part of Bu- dapest. They’d exchanged their home for this one, believing that the fresh air and the green mountain will be better for the children. They had never had any health problems in the old home. Now though, not only the children, but the parents were feeling increasingly unwell since they’d moved.

I measured every room of their home and determined the dangerous Page 12 Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 water-zones together with the background radiation. Unintentionally they had placed all their beds in the worst imaginable positions. I told them, that if the radiation is greater than 80-120 impulses/minute, then the changes they had made were very bad.

The top of one of the children’s beds showed 193 impulses/minute. The middle of the bunk measured 256 imp/min., and the bottom one showed 284 imp/ min. The parquetry showed 362 imp/min. The radiation of the father’s bed showed 407 imp/min.

Outside their home in the stair-well the detector showed only 96 imp/ min. I suggested that the radiation must be coming from under the par- quetry where the builders filled the cracks up with radioactive clinkers. (The residue of burned coal).

I suggested to them to move out of the place as soon as they could. Un- fortunately it wasn’t an option for them. I discovered that the whole place was heavily radiated from the Clinkers parquetry, not the water-vein.

Ivan on Radioactive construction materials: In 1985 a friend of mine asked me to do some measurements with my GM detector to find out whether the granite he had on his property would be safe to use. It turned out after the measurements, that the gran- ite was four times and the solid rocks were six times more radioactive than safe to use.

I suggested that a garage could be built from these materials, but nothing in the house where they want to live. Or, if they want to use these mate- rials, they would need to cover them with concrete slabs of 200 to 250 mill. He took my advice, and the whole family became healthy.

aron von Reichenbach describes in his book ‘Odisch-magnetische BBrief’ how he conducted 1,200 different experiments with all kinds of persons, and he has proved (or as good as) that there is a force emanat- ing from living as well as from inanimate matter, which force he termed the ‘od.’

Thirty years have elapsed since I had first-hand experience of what Baron Von Reichenbach calls ‘Odic Force.’

I was called to a patient who was suffering from disseminated sclerosis, or multiple sclerosis as it is medically designated today, which had af- fected his legs rather badly.

It was morning, I remember, and the patient was reading his mail in bed, which he continued to do so as I stroked his legs. Then unbeknownst to the patient, I raised my hands about half an inch or so and continued my stroking, but without any contact with the legs. Suddenly the patient looked up in surprise and stated that he was feeling a sensation in his legs like a mild electric current. This was followed by a warm glow.

He added that he felt some ‘life’ had come into his legs, permeating the whole of the lower limbs. In this patient we have a fine example of what Reichenbach terms a ‘Sensitive’ and thus very amenable to what is known as magnetic treatment. I have had numerous such experiences, over the years, in my practice.

The energy surrounding and proceeding from the organism is created by odic emanations. This is the ‘’ about which Dr. Kilner writes in his book ‘The Human Aura,’ the examination of which, under certain condi- tions, can be used for diagnostic purposes. The patient, practically nude,

Page 14 Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 is placed against a black background in a darkened room. Then the Doc- tor looks at the daylight with magenta coloured glasses for a few minutes, after which he directs his gaze on to the patient where the outlines of the ‘aura’ can be distinctly observed; where there is a break in or an indistinct outline of the ‘aura’, there is a disharmonious state of the organism in that area.

This general odic emanation can be clearly discerned, in a subdued light, also emanat- ing from the finger tips. Place the hands outstretched with the finger tips opposite each other, but not touching. The odic em- anations will bridge the gap between.

They can be seen even by lesser sensitives‘ ’, and are described by them as of a bluish- grey colour. It is said that the more blue that is present the more vital is the individual.

Magenta coloured glasses are not necessary in the case of ‘sensitives’ as they can see odic emanations with the naked eye, without any preparatory aid other than the dark, and the objects selected for the tests. Odic emanations cannot only be seen, but also actually felt.

Dr. Walter Voeller has discovered with the aid of his ‘Organo-electrome- ter,’ that continuous nervous electrical discharges take place from the eyes. This confirms the findings of those who practise healing magnet- ism, viz: that strong emanations come from the eyes.

There can be no doubt that cures are wrought by some real influence that is operative upon the nervous system of the patient, and that these cures are not in any way due, in the main, to suggestion. This appears to be beyond question having been proved by experiments upon animals. In

Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 Page 15 humans, of course, there is always an element of suggestion operative, but not so in animals.

An illuminating experiment was made by Lafontaine with a number of lizards, all of which were deprived of food. Two of the lizards were treat- ed with magnetic stroking. Those that were not so treated died, but those which were treated outlived the others by 42 to 75 days, which goes to prove that a subtle ‘something’ emanating from the hand-stroking, kept them alive.

It can be said that the effect of most ointments is brought about by the rubbing. The feel of a certain touch of the hand is soothing to nervous people. Here then are certainly magnetic and electrical influences at work.

It cannot be denied that the touch of certain persons is more sympa- thetic to oneself - than that of others. The loving hand, especially that of a mother, placed upon the head of a sick child, exercises a calming and curative influence. It has been found that in sleep a sufferer lays his hand on the affected part, as he does when he is awake. In this respect much helpful information can be had from reading Germaine Berder’s unique book ‘Your Hands Can Help to Heal You.’

One can enter a room in the dark and at once sense by the atmosphere, ‘whether there is anyone present or not.’

The assistant to the Viennese healing magnetiser, Rudolf Thetter, whose book on magnetic healing I happen to possess, admitted that about two months after entering Thetter’s service, he - the assistant - held the whole thing to be a swindle, but now he was of a different opinion. The head- aches, which plagued him daily for twenty years, went completely by the ‘atmosphere’ alone which prevailed in the treatment room.

Present-day physics can certainly prove that emanations do radiate from the body. Moreover, we know from empirical experience that pearls lose their lustre when the wearer’s vitality is low, and that they recover their

Page 16 Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 former beauty when they are worn by a healthy individual. My gold ring goes dull when I am not feeling up to the mark.

There is, too, the influence of man upon animals at a distance. We know that dogs and cats sense the coming of their masters long before their actual arrival, and long before they could be aware of them by the sense of smell.

Also there are many examples of animals having an influence upon man at a considerable distance. It is known that a colony of termites releases electrical currents of such intensity, as to upset the short-wave reception in the vicinity. Because of this, so it has been reported, the Lima fire bri- gade had to be called out to destroy one of the ant heaps.

Jung, in his preface to the ‘I Ching, or Book of Changes,’ wrote: “The thoughts of the old masters are of greater value to me than the philosophies, prejudices of the Western mind.”

We must not deny that which we, today, are unable to explain. Perhaps we should remind ourselves that the emanations that radiate from the body are, of course, the ‘physiological electric force,’ of which Dr. Julius Hensel wrote, and the ‘Biotic energy’ of which Prof. Benjamin Moore and Bio-Therapy have so much to say.

We usually think of this force or energy as the power within us by which natural self-healing (nature-cure) occurs; but if it can reach out to others and have a healing effect upon others - this is something very important, for to that extent we may become a healing influence in a world where much healing is needed.

Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 Page 17 A Simple Test for Geopathic Stress by Dr. Gunther Schneck British Society of Dowsers, June 1999

kinesiological test can be used to prove the existence of a geopathi- Acally stressed place. George Goodheart, an American chiropractor, developed in the sixties a method to judge a number of physical symptoms by, as he says, a “stroke of luck”. The muscular testing method was named kinesiology.

Applied kinesiology is a system based on the assumption that physical, mental or biochemical disturbances cause weakening of muscular integ- rity.

The test looks for quality of muscular reaction and energy supply, rather than the strength of muscles. Electromagnetic problems in external body energy systems (aura) can be caused, among many other disturbances, also by geopathic stress.

The test is done by using pressure on the outstretched arm of the test person (see picture 1) and the resistance to pressing down is noticed.

The functioning of the ki- nesiology test can be proved by the test person holding a bag of sugar (or packet of cigarettes) in the left hand over the navel re- gion (solar plexus).

Immediate weakening will take place.

This will impress on the test person that this is a valid functioning test.

Page 18 Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 The dowser will dowse a neutral place and a geopathic stress place (e.g. water vein crossing etc.).

Place test person first on neutral place and observe resistance of test per- son. Then after a little time, when the muscle has recovered from the work load, ask the test person to stand on the geopathic stress place and repeat the kinesiology test. According to the severity of the geopathic stress place, the muscle will be weaker and the resistance to pressure will be less.

It is advisable to ask the test person to try to count down silently from ten to one during testing so any undue mental influences can be reduced.

Of course one could test first on the geopathic stress point and then on the neutral point.

The test works very well and I have convinced extreme sceptics of the weakening in- fluence of the geopathic stress place on the energy fields of the body.

One of the sceptics was our local builder whose arm I could not have got down normally, even hanging on it. The builder had to surrender his strength completely, being tested on a particular nasty geopathic stress point and was duly impressed.

This test is easy to do and requires no instrumentation. Of course prac- tice makes perfect in order to judge reaction to weak geopathic stress places.

Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 Page 19 Noxious Rays and Your Health By R. Walpole Extract from British Society of Dowsers, March 1962

ore than forty years ago John Mosley of Inchclutha began his re- Msearch. Being a farmer he had ample opportunity to study mineral deposits and their radiation factors, and observe what effect these had on humans. He evolved a theory on cancer incidence, claiming that all cases coming to his notice were involved with noxious rays. Mosley found that by suppressing the noxious ray at the affected location a recovery ensued.

In time he came to the unshakeable belief that Radium is invariably as- sociated with troubles of a malignant nature. It should be understood that Radon gas also has great penetrating power, and can travel through a tremendous thickness of earth unchanged.

Everyone is very familiar with the ripple rings that occur when you throw a stone into a calm pond. Well, to a great extent we have similar condi- tions on terra firma. A man may contract rheumatics by sleeping over a harmonic of the actual stream, a ripple, so to say. One speck of Monazite the size of a pin head can play havoc with a human quite a distance from it, if his bed is located over one of the rings.

Now here is an interesting point; if we suppress the radiation beneath the patient, all the other bands (rings) are still operative. But if we suppress the source, the whole pattern is wiped out. The greatest number of nox- ious rays discoverable under one patient's bed is, up till now, ten. They mostly consist of bands, some only mildly harmful. A human being could not tolerate two full strength radiations for long.

What happens to the human to reduce him or her to the category of pa- tient is this; the cell life is disturbed. You will agree that during sleep we spend a period of bodily regeneration, discarding spent cells, creating new ones. Noxious rays interfere with this to a greater or lesser degree

Page 20 Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 according to ray strength.

Among primitive peoples today the practice is still followed by inviting friends along to a site on which a home is planned. Sensitives soon locate the bad spots, the planners then make their home on ‘quiet ground.’ Al- though civilization has blunted our senses somewhat, we still have sensi- tives among us who find it pays to be able to locate underground trouble.

We have found that a washing copper, sunk in the ground at a deter- mined spot, part filled with soil, and with a piece of zinc placed in the centre, will work permanently, keeping clear a large area of ground up to a maximum of ten acres.

In this country the corrugated iron roof is responsible for much trouble. The pitch of the roof dictates what frequency rate will be picked up.

If the iron is not grounded, the induced field builds up in a matter of time to a noxious level, resulting in frayed nerves, divorces and cruelty.

Not all roofs pick up harmful charges. Tile roofs in some localities be- come noxious because the holding wires have become saturated. If the ends are turned up, improvement results. If a house is situated where a radio wave goes to earth, the ten- ants find it very hard to stay healthy if, say, the frequency rate is related to a human ailment.

A few years ago it was my lot to help some people by grounding the roof iron. I drove a peg into a bed of mint at the back of the house and attached the wire. Next day, to my amazement, there were only black stalks standing where the mint had been, and a fine healthy bed it had been, too.

Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 Page 21 Seminar News The Beginners/Refresher Dowsing Seminar held on Sunday 30th July with Maggie Lowe was very successful with 12 attendees and a number of beginners going away inspired, enthusiastic and ready to become life- time dowsers.

It is great to see the expression on faces when a new dowser sees their pendulum move for the first time. It is so important for everyone who is interested, to undertake this beginners course to have a foundation upon which to build their skills.

e needed a well drilled in one of our pastures, and I suppose at the Wtime I believed in water witching somewhat. I eventually called a local husband and wife dowser team. They came to the property, found a location for the well and said we would find water at about 180 feet. I thought this just to be a lucky guess, but here is the kicker.

We were married in 1956 and in 1964 we had given up all hope of ever having any children, and being Catholics, family planning was a big no- no. At any rate, after the couple had witched our well, they said they wanted to witch my wife and myself.

At this point I did not believe they were ‘playing with a full deck’, but what the heck, what did we have to lose? So we said yes.

Again using their forked stick in the usual manner, they predicted we would have three children, two girls and a boy.

Well, by gosh, we ended up having two girls and a boy. They also pre- dicted how long we would be married, and when their stick reached 40, they discarded it, saying it was not necessary to go any further.

We have now been married almost 44 years. Well, if all of this does not ‘take the rag off the bush’, then I do not know what does.

Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 Page 23 Questions and Answers Question: I am thinking of buying a house and would like it close to a ley line if possible for health, wellbeing and also for my business. So I am trying to find information on where the Ley Lines are in the Sydney area.

Answer: In my understanding Ley Lines are spiritual lines of energy cre- ated and energised by the interaction of humans and spiritual energies. They require human attention to stay alive, like on the Camino in Spain where people walk the line all year round, or at Mount St Michael in Cornwall and France where pilgrims come regularly.

Ley Lines are not that common and so far I have not seen a Ley Line map of Australia. That is not to say they do not exist. Perhaps they match the Aboriginal Song lines. Aboriginals are probably smart enough to keep the locations from us for fear of damaging influences.

For your purpose, it would be more practical to seek a neutral area or where there are lines of beneficial energy. There are not many lines of beneficial energy in cities and you would be lucky if you found a house that is not crossed by a line of detrimental energy, so neutral is good!

Power transformers, mobile phone towers and many of our modern tools do disturb the earth energies a lot and so do underwater streams.

My recommendation would be to find a neutral location; that would be a good enough endeavour. However if your location is not neutral there are many ways to neutralise the detrimental energies. Many of these solu- tions have been published in past newsletters (you can access them by subject on our website), and once the location is free of detrimental ener- gies then you can imprint your own beneficial energy patterns, if you wish. The Reflexology Handbook:

A Complete Guide by Laura Norman

As people are always interested in techniques to improve their health, I thought I’d review one of our books on reflexology, pressing points on the feet is easy and effective, but we forget to do it….

Amazon reviews

This book has been the go-to re- source for my family for years.

It is well written and has clear im- ages to demonstrate the techniques.

I’m taking courses in Reflexology and this book was better than the course in several ways. I highly rec- ommend it!

I am a certified massage therapist and certified reflexologist and this book is excellent for the beginner or anyone that has been in the field for a long time, great book.

Dowsers Society of NSW – August 2017 Page 25 Speaker for September 17th, 2017 Jill Turland - Homoeopathy and Dowsing - ill Turland began by studying Homeop- Jathy and Herbal Medicine. She joined the Australian Institute of Homœopathy in 1981 and is the founding Editor of the professional journal ‘Similia’.

For many years Jill has been associated with osteopaths and chiropractors, and has been working since 1990 with Bryan Bar- rass, an osteopathic chiropractor with a great interest in .

Together they have researched the homeopathic remedies applicable to muscular and skeletal patterns, and the emotional origins of these patterns. This is the main thrust of their research - the use of very high potency homeopathic remedies for the resolution of guilts, griefs and fears and their subsequent physical illnesses.

Of special interest to us is that Jill also incorporates dowsing in her work as a homoeopath.

Through this knowledge many complex chronic physical problems are being resolved, and the understanding of the mental aspects of common homeopathic remedies is being expanded beyond present boundaries.

These remedies and the story of their amazing new uses are written up in detail in her book, ‘Getting Back On Track’.
