This information is grouped by themes in order to make it as easy as possible to find the information you want. -5- Hythe Ward Hythe Ward ‘Where the countryside meets the sea’5 Hythe is a coastal community town on the edge of the Romney Marsh. The ward has proportionally less people aged under 50 than the Kent average, and it also has a much larger percentage of people aged over 60. Marital status The majority of people in Hythe are single, but there are a significant number of people in relationship of some form. The proportion of people who are divorced or single (as a percentage of the population aged over sixteen), is far higher than the Kent average. The area has lower proportion of married couples.
