President’s message In This Issue It is my great honor and pleasure to be addressing you as President of LLAEOP. I have chosen “Through Your Example, Shine a Light” as my theme for the next two years, and am looking forward to embarking Announcements………………..6 with all of you on a journey of many, many lights! Programs will focus 5 on individuals who are shining their lights in various ways. The committee is working on some LLAEOP Business…………………2 ideas that I’m certain will entice you to attend meetings and events throughout the year. LLAEOP Professional Spotlight...3 The officers established a proposed budget for 2016-2017, and it is included in the newsletter. I’m really excited about a new budget line item for this year. We have included $100 to develop Membership Drive………………6 a website for LLAEOP. Stephanie Nallo, 2nd VP from Lancaster CTC, has volunteered to undertake this task, and the $100 will be used to purchase a website name. Office Professional Resources….4 The budget was presented to key people at a meeting on August 17, and you will be asked to Scholarship Update…..…………6 vote to approve the budget at the October meeting. Tech Tidbits……...………………5 As we begin a new school year, I would encourage you to be an example and let your light shine – on your colleagues, on your district’s students, on your community, on your friends and The Birthday List…………………7 family and most importantly on yourself. If you believe in yourself, anything is possible, so… Anny Naylor, LLAEOP President The picnic continued with a Chinese Auction of hand made items donated by LLAEOP members. Members bought tickets for $1.00 each and all proceeds were donated to Camp Can The annual end-of-year picnic was held once again at Lititz Springs Do at Gretna Glen. The weather was beautiful and we camping experiences for children with cancer had a great time! 92 members enjoyed a dinner of chicken and their siblings. After dinner, Lisa Bates presided over the Installation of Officers The evening ended on an exciting note, with a drawing ceremony. The following officers were installed for a two-year for two $100 money trees. The LPE covers the period July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2016, except for any areas of compliance that may have required an alternative to this period. The engagement was conducted pursuant to authority derived from Article VIII, Section 10 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and The Fiscal Code (72 P.S. §§ 402 and 403), but was not conducted in accordance with Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States.
