JULIE HIROMOTO, AIA, NCARB WELL AP, LEED AP BD+C, Living Future Accredited Julie Hiromoto is a Principal at HKS and the Firmwide Director of Integration. Her diverse experience spans complex and large-scale projects to boutique installations, balancing design excellence and technical expertise, including supertall off ice buildings, residential and mixed-use towers, hospitality projects, commercial interior design, urban design, healthcare master planning, and a datacenter. She has worked across the US in California, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, Texas and most extensively in New York City and on projects in Mexico City. As a Project Manager, Designer, Senior Technical Architect and Sustainable Design Leader, Ms. Hiromoto has specialized in curtain walls and sustainable, energy eff icient design. She pursues her passion for socially responsible design and the integration of research in practice, with her work launching the Center for Architecture Science and Ecology (CASE). Hiromoto also served as Adjunct Faculty at New York University’s Shack Institute of Real Estate, Chair of the AIA Large Firm Roundtable Sustainability Group, and a volunteer with the International Living Future Institute. She is the 2020 Chair of the AIA’s Committee on the Environment (COTE®) Advisory Group. Education Project Experience: HKS, Inc.
