Thanintharyi Explorer: Yangon – Dawei – Myeik (8 Days / 7 Nights)

Day 01 : Yangon – Dawei

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Yangon Airport.

Flight: Yangon – Dawei Myanmar National Air UB 315 10:30 – 11:15

Upon arrival to the Dawei airport, transfer to your hotel. Dawei, the capital of Thanitaryi division in the south of the Myanmar. It is also known as Tavoy in colonial time. Dawei was one of the first cities settled by the English after the first of the three Anglo-Burmese wars, as result the towns have long history and interesting architecture building of colonial era.

Together with guide explore downtown of colonial building area standing elegantly. Then we will stroll through the main busy market of Dawei where selling variety of products. And then have opportunity to visit local family run business of clay pottery, how to produce local hand- made pottery. And then visit one of the family owned cashew nut business how workers will process to peel one nut.

Visit to ShweTaungSar Pagoda and PayaGyi museum where own collections of bronze coins, vase’s, portraits and large wooden ancient Buddha images are displayed. In the evening drive to ShweTharlyaung reclining Buddha which 74 meter long and 21 meter high is the biggest in Myanmar until the recently built Win Sein Taw Ya Budaha image in Mawlamyaine. And take short walk up (20 or 30 min) to view point of SAPAR TAUNG to enjoy impressive and panoramic views over the surrounding city and a breathtaking sunset. Note : you may not see all the above family run business as some of them may closed on the day of your visit. Overnight at hotel in Dawei.

Day 02 : Hpa An Snrokeling around Dawei (SIC Joining cruise with Dawei Princess) [B / L]

You will be picked up from hotel at 07:30 hr and drive to San Lan fishing village. Dawei Princess Boat trip starts at 09:00AM from San Lan fishing village. It's a 1 hrs & 15 minutes cruise to Coconut Bay where you can enjoy snorkeling and swimming in crystal water. We will serve lunch on boat. After lunch 45 minutes cruise on to Turtle Bay for snorkeling where you can see soft coral, sea fan, Nemo house and turtles.

In the evening we continue to Middle Beach where you can enjoy snorkeling, sunbathing, swimming, walking and playing on the white sand long pristine beach. And then your thrilling snorkeling and kayaking sea adventure day trip will say

good bye with the last rays of sunlight waving on the sea we return to Dawei. Estimated time arrival – 06:00PM. Transfer to Hotel in Dawei. Overnight at hotel in Dawei.

Day 03 : Dawei – Myaw Yit – Maung Magan [B]

After breakfast, drive to San Marina beach, where located near Myaw Yit Pagoda, pass through rural small villages. Along the way visit to a rubber plantation which is one of the area’s major industries. And next visit a local village to see the area’s other major industry, dried fish. Lastly we'll get a chance to see beetle nut trees, which are everywhere in Tanintharyi Division.

Upon arrival the Myaw Yit bay, visit hidden and unknown beach of San Maria bay where the nearby sacred Myaw Yit Pagoda. The pagoda built on edge of small island and connected by bridge from the mainland. And continue to the visit Myaw Yit Pagoda and enjoy the breathtaking view to the Andman sea. After sightseeing heading drive to Maung Magan beach where well-known beach in Dawei. And enjoy sunset in Andman sea sitting and enjoying your drink (own account). Overnight at hotel in Maung Magan.

Day 04 : Maung Maung Beach [B]

Day free at leisure on your own. Overnight at Hotel in Maung Magan.

Day 05 : Dawei – Overland trip to Palaw and Myeik [B]

In the morning, proceeds overland trip (155 miles/ 7 hours) to MYEIK. The journey takes a narrow and winding and bumpy road through the Southern plateau. On the way stop at Palaw where located between Dawei and Myeik, a small charming town.

And then continue drive to MYEIK cross over the rolling hills of the Southern Myanmar, breathtaking sights and spectacular landscape of pure nature. Along the way have experience to explore the serene scenery of paddy fields, hidden small towns, rural villages and daily local lifestyle. In the late afternoon, arrive in Myeik and transfer to the hotel for check in and refreshments. Rest of the day will be your own leisure.Overnight at hotel in Myeik

Day 06 : Myeik [B]

Myeik is the busy port and important for center of fishing industries as well as dried-fish factory, bird’s nests collecting and the rubber plantations. The city offers to see with its elegant wooden architecture and busy streets. It is also famous for Myanmar pearls harvested by the Salon or Moken people (sea gypsies). Visit to city center and walk around to explore lively and colorful life of the rural local people. And stroll through the busy and bustling market of Myeik. Enjoy exploring the busy and bustling market and meeting the friendly locals. Walk further on BO GYOKE street pass through old colonial era buildings compare with recently constructed modern buildings. Visit Royal Pearl Trading shop where the building has been own same family for over 150 years, there will have a chance to learn about the peal industry and how different pearls are cultivated. And then visit to nearly hundred year old monastery and BUU Pagoda (which as same like BUU pagoda in Bagan).

Visit natural bird nest house on the Strand Road and to learn how to produce bird nest. And next visit a local village to see the area’s other major industry, dried fish. In the evening proceed to the pagoda enjoy the panoramic view and breathtaking sunset over the islands in Andman Sea. Overnight at hotel in Myeik.

Day 07 : Myeik Island cruise (joining SIC Jade Flower cruise) [B / L]

07:30am Start to pick up at your hotel (Downtown).

08:00am Depart from pier.

09:30am Arrive to Dome Waterfall.

10:30am Depart from Dome Waterfall. Arrive to Dome Nyaung Mai (Moken) Village where you can meet Sea 11:00am Gypsy people. Have lunch at Nyaung Mai Village with local life style. 12:00pm Depart from Dome Nyaung Mai (Moken) Village. Arrive to Smart Island where you can have good snorkeling, swimming, 01:00pm relaxing and playing soccer. 03:00pm Depart from Smart Island.

05:30pm Arrive back to Myeik city.

Day 08 : Myeik Departure [B]

Transfer to airport for your depature flight from Myeik.
