Hammersmith Academy admits 130 pupils into Year 7, in 2021. It is a mixed ability Academy.

The corona virus disruption has meant that Hammersmith Academy has been unable to confirm their “Open Event” dates in September and October 2020.

Parents/ Carers are encouraged to visit the school’s website, www.hammersmithacademy.org. Please click the “Admissions” area, where the school will provide updates on their “Open Event” schedule and other information around secondary transfer. You can register your interest for a school visit by emailing the admissions department, at, admissions@ hammersmithacademy.org and to request further information about the school.

Here you will find a wealth of information about the Academy, that you and your child can research, watch videos and meet the Year 7 staff team. Hammersmith Academy hold 2 Fair banding tests. One in September and one in November 2020. Hammersmith Academy have 5 ability bands. A,B,C,D & E.

Hammersmith Academy has an Admissions Priority Area map, where your child must live within the admissions area map. An admissions priority area map is available on the Academy’s website. If parents wish to know which band their child has been placed in before the close of application (31st Ocotber 2020), they must attend the test date in September 2020.

Ark Burlington Danes Academy is a mixed ability, Church of England Academy. In Year 7 it offers 180 places to students in 2021. 25% (45) of these places will be offer as Foundation places (Faith places). 75% (135) places will be offered as Open places, (none faith places).

If you are applying for a Foundation (faith) place, there is a separate information form (SIF) on their website, which must be completed and returned to the school, by the 31st October 2020. Ark Burlington Danes will host 3 open evenings during September and October 2020. Their Open evenings are; Thursday 24 September, Thursday 1 October and Thursday 8 October. All at 5.00 to 7.00pm. They are also organising a virtual tour, Head teacher speech, subject Leader introductions and pupils’ feedback. This will be available from 24th September. You can register / sign up for this from 14th September, on their website.

Fulham Boys school offer 120 places in Year 7, 2021. 50% to COE practicing boys (Foundation Places) and 50% to none practicing faith boys or boys from another faith (Open Places).

Fulham Boys school’s vision is of being a local , therefore, a priority admissions zone is identified for both Faith and Open places for boys living within two miles of the school’s permanent location at Heckfield Place SW6 5NL. Fulham Boys school offer 8 Sports Aptitude Places, as part of its 130 intake in year 7. All applicants for a sports aptitude place must fill in a sports aptitude form – available here or from the school office and return it to school by midnight on 1st October 2020. The test will take place on Tuesday 6th October between 2pm and 5pm at our Beaumont Avenue Site. The school will email parents separately with specific times, a week before the test.

No prior sporting prowess will be taken into consideration. The aptitude tests will be based on the Skill Related Fitness Tests and the Health-Related Fitness Tests used by professional bodies, clubs and organisations. All applicants who take the sports aptitude test will be ranked according to their performance. We will notify parents of the results of the test and their son’s ranking by 31st October 2020.
