Special thanks to the priest and his wife who welcomed me to their community with enthusiasm and provided me with accurate timeline and history information of the stain glass. It is important for me to thank that WPI community who never fails to surprise me with their cooperation and willingness to participate in the surveys required for this study. 3 The Stained Glass Windows of the Arminian Church of Our Savor Abstract The goal of this project is to study the meaning behind the stained-glass windows at the Armenian Church of Our Savor in Worcester Massachusetts. The history of these beautiful windows has taught us that the combination of colorful lights not only provides a mesmerizing atmosphere inside the church, but also a lesson for those who believe through symbolism and metaphors. After interviewing the pastors of the church and analyzing the features and figures drawn in every glass, and upon analyzing the answers received from the surveys, we discovered that no more than ten percent of the survey participants understand the educational meaning of the stained-glass windows and each symbolism hidden in them. -

And just like Abraham, every Christian who is a guest in this land journeys throughout his life towards God in ‘Heavenly Jerusalem’. The tradition of going on pilgrimages is part of a European cultural heritage inseparably connected with the Christian religion and particular holy places: Jerusalem, Rome, and Santiago de Compostela, where the relics of St James the Greater are worshipped. The Way of St James began almost two thousand years ago on the banks of the Sea of Galilee (Lake Tiberias). As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. ‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people’. At once they left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him. With the creation of an independent Republic of Armenia, the Association undertook the task of helping to build and encourage the growth of democratic institutions in Armenia. The Armenian Bar Association is a forum in which attorneys with different backgrounds and at different stages of their careers share their expertise and insight. Such an exchange of experience and knowledge forms the backbone of the Armenian Bar Association’s dual goals of professional growth and community advancement. This sharing finds expression in the liaison work of the Armenian Bar Association in supporting the emergence of a rule of law society in the Republic of Armenia. The cooperation also takes the form of pro bono assistance and legal education seminars geared toward raising community awareness of rights and responsibilities. The Armenian Bar Association is a democratic organization. Its members and sponsors support it and give it direction. They approve its by-laws, elect a Board of Governors, nominate prominent jurists as honorary members, and set the policy for the fiscal year. The Association is committed to serve the profession of law, the interests of its members, and the rights of its constituents. -

tepav Reflecting on the Two Decades of Bridging the Divide: Taking Stock of Turkish-Armenian Civil Society Activities The accumulation of practical experience and knowledge in civil society efforts to normalize Reflecting on the Two Decades of Bridging the Divide: and reconcile Turkish - Armenian relations during the last decade and a half makes a Taking Stock of Turkish-Armenian Civil Society Activities general assessment useful. This study aims to encourage the practitioners to reflect on their past and present activities by generating space for sharing lessons learned, best practices and defining the challenges ahead. This assessment pays particular attention to the transference of insights and ideas to the policymaking level and their impact on the inter- governmental normalization and reconciliation Civil Society Activities Stock of Turkish-Armenian Taking process.
