The Bible Society of Ghana hosted the All Rev. Dr. Joyce R. Aryee (President, BSG) and Rev. Dr. Erasmus Odonkor Africa Bible Society CEOs Consultation of the (left, Immediate Past General Secretary, BSG) and Mr. J.N.B Tetteh (Right, Chairman of BSG Council) at the Opening Ceremony of the All Africa Bible Africa Affinity Group in Accra from 18th to 22nd Societies CEO’s Forum held in Accra. A high-powered delegation led by the Chairperson of the National Council, Mrs. Efua Ghartey and a former Vice President of the BSG, Rev. Steve Asante paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, Otumfuo Dr. Osei Tutu II, Asantehene at the Manhyia Palace. The visit was to officially introduce the first ever published Asante Twi ESV Diglot to the Asantehene and to invite him as Special Guest to the launch of the Bible. A request was also made of him to autograph the first 50 copies.

19. EVENTS AFTER THE REPORTING DATE

All events subsequent to the date of the annual financial statements and for which the applicable financial reporting framework requires adjustment or disclosure have been adjusted or disclosed. The impact of COVID-19 pandemic on the operations of the Society has been disclosed as a non-adjusting event that occurred between 31 December 2019 and the date of approval of the financial statements by the Council. A COVID-19 impact assessment on the entire operations of the Society for 2020 was done. This revealed that most planned activities of the Society that will involve face-to-face engagement with stakeholders may not be done. As a result, the revenue expectation in terms of sale of bibles and donations from stakeholders will be impacted. The operating revenue is expected to reduce by 33.3% from GHS 15 million to GHS 10 million whilst donation reduces by 40% from GHS 2.5 million to GHS 1.5 million.
