Th is loss brings to mind the Akan proverb which says: Nea onipa pe na owu nso pe (What man likes, death also likes). We mourn a truly famous man, whose life and work will be celebrated and recounted for a long time to come. Born on 7 July 1945, Kwame Bediako had his basic education in Ghana. He graduated with a Bach- elor of Arts at the University of Ghana, Legon in French. He pursed Masters and Doctoral degrees in French and French African Literature at the University of Bordeaux, France, in the late 1960s. While in France he had a dramatic experience with Christ which saw him being converted from atheism to a fervent Christian life. Th is experience led him to the conviction that intel- lectual life without Christ was futile. Consequently, he decided to spend his life in Christian ministry as a scholar. He therefore started formal theological studies at the London School of Th eology from 1973 to 1976. In 1978, he off ered for the ordained ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit (Downloaded from the Aglow International Website
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit (Downloaded from the Aglow International website. www.aglow.org) As a Christian, have you ever wished for more spiritual power in your life? More power to resist sin? More power to tell others about Jesus? More power to love and to live the Christian life as you should? You don't have to just go on wishing. Spiritual power is available to all Christians. As a matter of fact, God is probably more anxious to give it to you than you are to receive it. Giving His people spiritual power has always been part of God's plan for us. Unfortunately, throughout much of history, Satan has blinded us and kept this wonderful truth a secret from most Christians. However, today, God is giving His spiritual power to great numbers of people. He will give it to you, too. The way God gives His spiritual power to Christians is through the baptism in the Holy Spirit. You see, when we are saved, God's Holy Spirit comes into our human spirit and gives it life. Then, when we are baptized in the Holy Spirit that same Spirit is released so that it overflows into every part of us, giving us spiritual power to fully live the Christian life. God doesn't want us to just have His Spirit - He wants His Spirit released in our life. Thousands of years before Christ was born, God began to tell His people about a time in the future when His Holy Spirit would be released within His believers. -

How We Got to Where We
How We Got To Where We Are A BRIEF HISTORY OF AGLOW’S APOSTOLIC ENDTIME CALLS Since 1967, God has been sovereignly speaking to Aglow about His purposes in the earth and Aglow’s part in those purposes. In the past four years, those purposes have crystallized as the three apostolic calls. They are prophetic and end-time in nature: Male/Female Reconciliation, Islam, and Israel. » In 1981, Aglow President Jane Hansen Hoyt began to speak the unfolding revelation God was imparting to her heart concerning the restoration of women and the significance of their role in His plan. It led to the critical issue of male/female reconciliation in the body of Christ. Since 1981, He has expanded and increased that prophetic message, eloquently outlined in Jane Hansen’s book, Fashioned for Intimacy, and Master Plan. This end-time message communicates God’s purpose from the beginning (Genesis 1:26-28): to have a family, a people who would share His life, nature, spirit, vision, and purpose, and through whom He would express His life, power, and glory in the earth. It would take male and female together to fulfill His plan and purpose. The restoration of this foundational relationship is necessary before the Church can be fully restored and fulfill its destiny to express God’s image and take dominion in the earth. » In 1991, 1993 (and again, 1995 specifically), God prophetically spoke to Aglow regarding Islam. Recognizing that the system of Islam is the single greatest spirit of anti-Christ in the world today, Aglow has been called to expose the system, bringing awareness to the body of Christ, while loving the Muslim people by reaching out to them in love with the gospel of Jesus Christ. -

Dominion Session 2
DOMINION SESSION 2 RISE UP NOTE: This teaching on Dominion Session 2 is to be used by National and Area Leaders during your yearly Leadership Development events. Feel free to make copies. Make the teaching personal and relevant for your leaders. (Slide 1) Aglow has continually risen to a higher place of authority as we’ve understood God’s instruction to us. Beginning in 1981, Jane first spoke a message in Aglow that has become one of Aglow’s mandates – male/female reconciliation. Each time the message is spoken, Jane has defined dominion according to Genesis 1-3. (Slide 2) From the beginning God told us what dominion would look like in the earth. It was male and female. This is the structure God designed to deal with the enemy. It is the structure through which He would not only deal with Satan, but also reveal Himself to the world. It is God’s master plan. Through God’s creation, the man and woman, dominion would come forth on the earth. Go forth. Subdue. Multiply. Rule. Reign. On earth as it is in Heaven. As we have looked back and understood the ways God has led the ministry forward, it is astounding to see how He has spoken to us with increased intentionality and purpose. Each year has built upon the previous year. Our focus has become clear, our identity defined, our purpose revealed. It has been as though His hand was on our back, propelling us into the future. Each step has been taken with His permission, filled with His delegated authority. -
