This exhibition explores the stories behind collections, giving an insight into the personalities of the people who seek out, acquire, catalogue, display and care for their treasures. The ethos of collecting hasn’t changed through time. The cigarette cards of the early 20th century were collected, used and traded in much the same way as Pokémon cards are now - collecting is today what it was yesterday. Welcome... She is following on from her sister HMS FORTH and weighs 2,000 tonnes and is 90.5 meters in length.
