A) Jonah was about to be converted back to God’s will for his life. We can see steps he made in that conversion. We must make these same steps if we are to get back into fellowship with God. 1) He Acknowledged his sin.{Chapter 1:12} 2) He Accepted The Consequences of his sin{V.12} 3) He Cried Out To God{Ch2 V.2} 4) He Sought God.{Ch2 V.4} (a) Read his word, pray, attend church (b) Do the things you know to do and God will do the rest. 5) He Remembered God{Ch2 V.7} (a) Reve 2:4 (KJS) Nevertheless I have [somewhat] against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. 6) He Thanked God{Ch2 V.9} 7) He Obeyed God.{Ch2 V.9} (a) There is no substitute for obedience. There is no short cut around it. We must obey God.

IX) THE SECOND CHANCE (ch3:1-3) A) Perhaps the most beautiful words in the are found Chapter 3:1, “ came to Jonah the second time…….” 1) Aren’t you glad that God is the God of the Second Chance? (a) Isai 55:7 (KJS) Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. X) THE CRUX OF THE PROBLEM A) Jonah had hatred in his heart.
