Breitling Chronomat Automatic in stainless steel and gold bezel with blue guilloche round dial and gold batons for each hour. The has three sub dials in a darker blue color, hours at 6 o’clock, seconds at 9 o’clock and minutes at 12 o’clock. The date window comes at 3 o’clock. On the outer of the dial comes a tachymeter graduated up to 500. The watch has a yellow gold unidirectional bezel with marks for 15, 30 and 45. The watch has a screwed crown. It is a screw back case with engraved “Manufacture en Suisse Chronographe – 100m – Breitling 1884 – D 13050.1 – 10273”. The watch is waterproof 10 ATM. The watch has an automatic movement with caliber Breitling 13. It is a stainless steel strap with reference Chrono Duog, number 300A – S3898 with double clasp Breitling buckle. Leon Breitling started Breitling in 1884 with his own . In 1892, Leon built a watch manufacture called “G. Leon Breitling S.A., Montbrillant Watch Factory. In 1914, Gaston Breitling takes over the business and creates the “Vitesse” model. In 1932 Willy Breitling took over his father and creates the “Chronomat” in 1947 and then the “Navitimer” in 1952. In 1962, a Breitling chronograph was catapulted into the space at astronaut Scott Carpenter wrist. Then came the famous caliber 11 in 1969 called “Chronomatic” developed by Breitling and Heuer. The story of Breitling ended in 1979 before being revived by Ernest Schneider in 1982 and managed today by his son Theodore.
