2017 Labour Day Long Weekend Travel Restrictions – Agricultural Vehicles These restrictions only apply to oversize agricultural vehicles such as tractors, headers and have been in place for many years. They are stipulated in the NSW Class 1 Agricultural Vehicles (Notice) 2015 (No. 1) - click here for a copy Permit Notices. A truck carrying an agricultural machine is regarded as a load carrying vehicle not an agricultural vehicle.

Night Travel Zones Night travel for an oversize agricultural machine or combination that is wider than 2.5 metres or longer than 22 metres is not allowed anywhere in NSW.

Daytime Travel - All Zones If you are operating under the NSW Class 1 Agricultural Vehicles (Notice) 2015 (No.1) and travelling wider than 2.5 metres or longer than 22 metres, from sunrise Saturday 30 September 2017 to sunset Monday 2 October 2017, travel is only permitted on the following roads if accompanied by at least one pilot vehicle:

• Any , freeway or motorway east of but NOT including the , and

• between the Hume Hwy and at , and

• The between the Mid Western Hwy at Cowra and the Hume Hwy near Yass, and

• Kings Highway (MR51) from Braidwood to Batemans Bay, and

• (MR321 + MR80) between the Newell Hwy near and the Mid Western Hwy at Goolgowi, and

• John Renshaw Drive between the F3 -Newcastle Freeway and New England Hwy.

Specific Permit If you are travelling under a specific permit for dimensions wider or longer than allowed under the NSW Class 1 Agricultural Vehicles (Notice) 2015 (No.1), then you cannot travel from sunrise Saturday 30 September 2017 to sunset Monday 2 October 2017 on the following roads: • All highways and freeways east of but NOT including the Newell Highway, and • Olympic Way between Albury and Cowra, and • Kings Highway between Braidwood and Batemans Bay, and • Lachlan Valley way between Yass and Cowra, and • Burley Griffin Way between the Hume Hwy and Griffith.

These restrictions only apply to over size travel. Permits to exempt you from any of the above listed restrictions are NOT available except under emergency provisions relating to fire, explosion or natural disaster.
