BAB II LANDASAN TEORI 2.1 Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) merupakan Provinsi terkecil kedua setelah Provinsi DKI Jakarta dan terletak di tengah pulau Jawa, dikelilingi oleh Provinsi Jawa tengah dan termasuk zone tengah bagian selatan dari formasi geologi pulau Jawa. Di sebelah selatan terdapat garis pantai sepanjang 110 km berbatasan dengan samudra Indonesia, di sebelah utara menjulang tinggi gunung berapi paling aktif di dunia merapi (2.968 m). Luas keseluruhan Provinsi DIY adalah 3.185,8 km dan kurang dari 0,5 % luas daratan Indonesia. Di sebelah barat Yogyakarta mengalir Sungai Progo, yang berawal dari Jawa tengah, dan sungai opak di sebelah timur yang bersumber di puncak Gunung Merapi, yang bermuara di laut Jawa sebelah selatan. (Kementerian RI, 2015) Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu daerah yang memiliki kebudayaan yang masih kuat di Indonesia, dan juga Yogyakarta memiliki banyak tempat-tempat yang bernilai sejarah salah satunya situs-situs arkeologi, salah satu dari situs arkeologi yang banyak diminati untuk dikunjungi para masyarakat dan wisatawan adalah peninggalan situs-situs candi yang begitu banyak tersebar di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. 2.2 Teori Dasar 2.2.1 Arkeologi Kata arkeologi berasal dari bahasa yunani yaitu archaeo yang berarti “kuna” dan logos “ilmu”. Definisi arkeologi adalah ilmu yang mempelajari kebudayaan (manusia) masa lalau melalui kajian sistematis (penemuan, dokumentasi, analisis, dan interpretasi data berupa artepak contohnya budaya bendawi, kapak dan bangunan candi) atas data bendawi yang ditinggalkan, yang meliputi arsitektur, seni. Secara umum arkeologi adalah ilmu yang mempelajari manusia beserta kebudayaan-kebudayaan yang terjadi dimasa lalu atau masa lampau melalui peninggalanya. Secara khusus arkeologi adalah ilmu yang mempelajari budaya masa silam yang sudah berusia tua baik pada masa prasejarah (sebelum dikenal tulisan) maupun pada masa sejarah (setelah adanya bukti-bukti tertulis). -

The purpose of this research to analyze the character values from Ngendar tradition. The types of this research are qualitative which ethnographic approach is. These location of this research in Puseh Pungit temple in Penataran Agung areal, Banjar Sekarmukti, Pangsan Village. Researcher using purposive sampling technique to determine information, collecting the data’s using observation, interviews, literature studies and documentation. The descriptive qualitative technique’ that are use to data analyses. The result of this research to show; first is process of Ngendar as heritage that celebrated in six months as an expression about grateful to the God (Ida Sang Hyang Widi Wasa). The reasons why these traditions’ always celebrated by the children’s are affected from holiness, customs and cultures. Second, Ngendar on the naming the characters which is as understanding character children’s with their religion that are affected by two things, the naming about religion behavior with way reprimand and appreciation through their confidence (Sradha) and Karma Phala Sradha. Next function is to grow their awareness. -

1 ARSITEKTUR HINDU BUDHA A. PERKEMBANGAN HINDU DAN BUDHA DI INDONESIA 1. Sejarah dan Berkembangnya Agama Hindu-Buddha Agama Hindu di sebarkan oleh Bangsa Arya (Bangsa Pendatang) setelah masuk melalui celah Carber yang memisahkan daratan Eropa dan Asia. Bangsa Arya merasa nyaman tinggal karena India adalah daerah yang subur. Bangsa Arya mengalahkan Bangsa asli India (Dravida). Cara Bangsa Arya mengeksistensikan bangsanya di India dengan cara membuat Kasta, yaitu pelapisan masyarakat. Perbedaan Bangsa Arya dengan Bangsa Dravida itu sendiri terdapat pada bagian fisiknya, yaitu Bangsa Arya berkulit putih sedangkan Bangsa Dravida berkulit hitam. Pusat kebudayaan Hindu adalah di Mohenjo Daro (Lakarna) dan Harapa (Punjat) yang tumbuh sekitar 1.500 SM. Agama Hindu dalam pelaksanaan ritual ibadah (penyampaian doa kepada dewa) harus di lakukan oleh Kaum Brahmana saja. Sehingga kaum-kaum di bawahnya merasa kesulitan ketika kaum Brahmana meminta qurban (pembayaran yang berlebih) kepada kaum-kaum di bawahnya yang meminta tolong untuk disampaikan doanya kepada dewa-dewa mereka. Sehingga banyak masyarakat yang berpindah agama menjadi agama Budha. HINDU GODS AND GODDESSES 1. BRAHMA The first deity of the Hindu trinity, Lord Brahma is considered to be the god of Creation, including the cosmos and all of its beings. Brahma also symbolizes the mind and intellect since he is the source of all knowledge necessary for the universe. Typically you’ll find Brahma depicted with four faces, which symbolize the completeness of his knowledge, as well as four hands that each represent an aspect of the human personality (mind, intellect, ego and consciousness). 2. VISHNU The second deity of the Hindu trinity, Vishnu is the Preserver (of life). He is believed to sustain life through his adherence to principle, order, righteousness and truth. He also encourages his devotees to show kindness and compassion to all creatures. Vishnu is typically depicted with four arms to represent his omnipotence and omnipresence. It is also common to see Vishnu seated upon a coiled snake, symbolizing the ability to remain at peace in the face of fear or worry. 3. SHIVA The final deity of the Hindu trinity is Shiva, also known as the Destroyer. He is said to protect his followers from greed, lust and anger, as well as the illusion and ignorance that stand in the way of divine enlightenment. However, he is also considered to be responsible for death, destroying in order to bring rebirth and new life. Shiva is often depicted with a serpent around his neck, which represents Kundalini, or life energy. 4. GANESHA One of the most prevalent and best-known deities is Ganesha, easily recognized by his elephant head. -

Arts and Design Studies www.iiste.org ISSN 2224-6061 (Paper) ISSN 2225-059X (Online) Vol.79, 2019 Garudeya Batik The Relief Sculpture "Garudeya" of Sukuh Temple as an Idea of Batik Creation Dharsono Departement of Fine Art, Faculty of Fine Art and Design, Indonesian Institute of the Arts, Surakarta, Indonesia Abstract Creative artistic batik inspired by Garudeya sculptures carved on the reliefs of Sukuh Temple in Karanganyar, Central Java, Indonesia. The process of making batik is focused on preserving traditional arts as a form of cultural resilience. Preservation can be interpreted as maintaining, caring for and protecting. Conservation is the preservation of the form of development and use of values. Conservation is more prioritizing in the development of response alternatively to the condition of art and culture globally. This study aims to make prototypes and designs of batik as artistic creations sourced from reliefs of Garudeya sculptures carved on the outer walls of Sukuh Temple. To achieve this goal, it requires an experimental method of reproductive form with garap (work on) innovation, a sanggit work with a concept of revitalization. The method of creating sanggit works has a level of importance that refers to the form of traditional arts preservation, by trying to provide alternative artworks with the reproduction technique of garap innovation. Technically experienced processing reduction through the elements; contour lines, colouring techniques and content fields in thematic engineering. Conservation with the concept of revitalization and reinterpretation, producing prototypes and batik designs as artistic creations inspired by the Garudeya sculpture carved into the reliefs of Sukuh Temple. The artistic creation of the "Garudeya" batik inspired by the Garudeya Sculpture is a symbol of Garuda as a liberator figure who is part of the search for Tirta Amerta (living water) story contained in The Adiparwa book. -

L A T A R B E L A K A N G Pendidikan adalah investasi peradaban bangsa yang sangat berharga karena peradaban akan dapat diwujudkan oleh masyarakat yang terdidik dalam arti yang sangat luas. Salah satu pilar pendidikan dalam konteks masyarakat terdidik adalah sekolah. Melalui sekolah internalisasi nilai-nilai dan pendidikan di bangun. Internalisasi dan pembentukan karakter tersebut melibatkan siswa dan guru. Kedua komponen inilah yang merupakan aktor utama pendidikan di sekolah. Sehingga untuk membentuk peradaban kedua pihak baik siswa dan guru harus sama-sama memiliki kualitas untuk dapat berinteraksi secara intensif dan saling memberdayakan. Apabila hanya siswa yang berkembang, sementara guru tidak maka akan terjadi ketimpangan. Demikian pula apabila gurunya yang maju siswanya tidak, maka akan terjadi peluang terjadinya dominasi ilmu pengetahuan oleh satu pihak. Oleh karena itu, baik siswa dan guru harus sama-sama diberdayakan. Guru berkualitas harus di dukung oleh siswa berkualitas. Sehingga interaksi dan dialektika ilmu dapat terjadi. Untuk meningkatkan kualitas, siswa dan guru memerlukan pemacu dan pemicu munculnya bakat (talent) yang dimiliki agar dapat dikembangkan secara optimal. Optimalisasi talent siswa dan guru sangat penting karena semua orang memiliki keunikan sendiri-sendiri yang tidak dimiliki oleh orang lain. Sehingga dengan kemampuan mengembangkan talent dirinya, diharapkan siswa dan guru akan dapat meningkatkan potensi diri dan prestasi baik individu, kelompok, maupun komunitas. Women in Hindu Dharma- a Tribute Respected Ladies and Gentlemen1, Namaste! Country and Project Name: Indonesia – East Java & Bali Power Distribution Strengthening Project 2. Project Development Objective: The expansion of the distribution network comprises erection of new poles, cable stringing, and installation of distribution transformers. 3. Expected Project Benefits: Construction of about 17,000 km distribution lines and installation of distribution transformers in East Java and Bali 4. Identified Project Environmental and Social Risks: Social Risks. It is envisaged that this project will require (i) use of no more than 0.2 m2 of land for installation of concrete poles and approximately 4m2 for installation of transformers (either in cabinet of between two concrete poles or on one pole); limited directional drilling (approx. 200-300m) to run cables under major roads and limited trenching (usually less than 500m) in urban environments, and (iii) possible removal of non-land assets (primarily trimming or felling of trees) for stringing of conductors. While restrictions on land use within the existing right of way apply, the land requirements for the distribution network (lines and transformers) are considered manageable with normal mitigation measures. Project activities will not (i) require land acquisition, (ii) cause physical or economic displacement; and/or (ii) result in adverse impacts to Indigenous Peoples groups and/or members of ethnic minorities. Environmental risks are principally induced by the establishment of the network across natural habitats and potential impact on fauna (in particular avifauna and terrestrial fauna susceptible to access the distribution lines or transformers such as monkeys or other tree dwelling scavenging animals that frequent semi urban environments), and the management of waste (e.g.
