Montessori School of Denver (MSD), located in beautiful Colorado, is seeking a Director of and for the 2021-2022 school year.

Job Overview: The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for the development and delivery of MSD’s marketing, , and strategies. The Director will execute and manage , , school publications, , , and more to ensure all elements are in line with the school’s mission, values, and operating goals. In conjunction with the Admissions team, the Director develops core marketing messages that enhance the school's reputation, garners interest and enrollment, as well as strong retention rates.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Oversee all aspects of marketing, including brand strategy, communications planning, and marketing execution o Ensure brand integrity and mission and values alignment in all marketing and communications activities. o Develop and execute a content strategy and content for various school audiences across different mediums. Plan and manage an editorial calendar. o Identify emerging marketing opportunities, design effective targeting strategies, and use results to inform future marketing opportunities. o Measure, analyze, and track the effectiveness of marketing initiatives such as social media campaigns, website traffic, search, Google ads, SEO, etc. through the use of Google, /Instagram, and other analytical tools. o Develop and oversee execution of annual marketing and campaign plans that engage internal and external constituents in the support and of the school. o Supervise professional consultants contracted to support communication and marketing goals. o Establish and manage internal communication policies, crisis communication, brand use, and general communication protocols and responsibilities. o Manage the marketing and communications budget. o Create content, design, edit, and oversee all aspects of production of the school’s print and digital publications, including specific Admissions content, Annual Reports, brochures, flyers, mailings, website news, etc. o Create event promotion materials/collateral and campaigns. o Oversee the school’s social media platforms.

• Website Management o Oversee the school’s website. o Maintain the strategic direction of the school’s website, leading all and photo/video update efforts, coordinating with the school’s Communications Manager. o Track website traffic and engage in SEO and other strategies to increase traffic to targeted areas.

• Collaboration o Lead the school’s marketing meetings with the Head of School, Admissions team, Communications Manager, and others. o Collaborate with the Communications Manager to work successfully as a team. o Collaborate with the Admissions office to create/produce marketing in support of enrollment and retention across program levels. o Collaborate with the Director of Development to drive donor engagement, promote fundraising events, support the Annual Fund, and engage with our community to support fundraising efforts overall. o Collaborate with the Head of School and the Farm Team to design and implement a comprehensive, integrated communications/PR plan for the Urban Farm. o Collaborate with the Director of Auxiliary Programs & Events to market Summer Camp, After School Enrichment Program (ASEP), Middle School Sports, and more to obtain high enrollment and success.

Qualification Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing and/or related field and/or 5+ years of related experience • Non-profit experience (preferred) • Strong computer literacy o Competent Apple computer user o Office365/Microsoft Office o Adobe Creative Suite o WordPress • Familiar with Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Google My Business • SEO skills • experience • Successful track record working with a wide range of people • Supervisory experience • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach • Exceptional organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively • Superb written and oral communication skills and exceptional attention to detail - demonstrated versatility in writing for all media platforms • High-energy and enthusiastic about working in an academic atmosphere • Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate deliverables among multiple departments and manage simultaneous deadlines, on time, and within budget
