Career Opportunity – Marketing Communications Manager
Esperanza has an immediate opening for a full-time Marketing Communications Manager who aspires to lead a talented team and coordinate with committed executives and board members in implementing the organization’s comprehensive strategic plan.
Esperanza is a faith-based organization committed to strengthening our Hispanic community. Through planning and execution, the Marketing Communications Manager ensures achievement of marketing and communication goals that strengthen the organization and expand its reach. The Marketing Communications Manager will provide active oversight of branding, media relations, publications, communications, web and social media direction, writing, editing, and staff/contractor/intern management for Esperanza. This position will develop production schedules, manage processes, and work with internal and external clients to determine how best to tell Esperanza’s compelling stories.
The ideal candidate will have at least four years of demonstrated success performing essential marketing and communications functions, preferably in a medium-sized nonprofit organization. A BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study is required.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:
• An ability to operate a variety of software programs including Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Adobe Creative Suite, Avid, WordPress, AirTable (or similar), Salsa Labs (or similar), and Infusion Soft (or similar). • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally. • Bi-lingual in both Spanish and English required. • A robust understanding of the Hispanic experience in twenty-first century America. • An ability to communicate with a consistent voice within the Hispanic and Christian faith communities. • Experience managing a marketing portfolio in the context of institutional ROI. • Detail-orientation and ability to manage projects multiple tasks simultaneously, effectively, and according to strict timelines and budgets. • An ability to facilitate collaboration across departments through a culture of cooperation. • Experience deploying multiple platforms in storytelling and an ability to leverage social media and site data to develop content relevant to contemporary social understanding.
