• A total of 980 suspected cases were tested using RDTs and 52 were positive

• 36 deaths have been recorded so far due to COVID-19 in the region.

• 420 active cases in the region (Limbe, Buea, Kumba, Mamfe, Tiko, Tombel, Muyuka, Bangem).

• There are 04 operational COVID-19 management sites in the region (Buea, Limbe,Tiko, and Kumba).

• SW Regional delegation deployed COVID-19 free screening mobile unit along with ambulance in Buea town at various locations. The team is using RDTs.

• The districts harboring COVID-19 cases have been empowered for effective contact tracing.

The case fatality rate is 10%.

• 13 out of the l9 health districts so far have been affected (Bamenda, , Bali, , , , Fundong, Santa, East, Kumbo West, Bafut, Nkambe and Wum). The Bamenda health district alone has recorded 72% cases and second highest health district is Fundong recorded 12 % cases.

• The Regional delegation has scaled-up RDT testing sites for COVID-19 with rapid response teams to all health districts of NWR.

• In total 159 cases are currently on treatment and 390 cases have recovered.

• Follow up all contacts of positive cases, and testing is conducted immediately whenever contacts are identified.

• 23 Health facilities capacitated, but only 10 health facilities are treating COVID-19 patients (Bamenda Regional hospital, Mbingo Baptist hospital,• Catholic hospital, Shisong Catholic hospital, Santa District hospital, Tubah District hospital, Wum District hospital, Widikum St Joseph Catholic hospital, Nkanbe District hospital, and Bali District hospital).

• The Regional delegation has continued advocacy in the region about wearing face mask, handwashing with soap, and physical distancing (1.5 m) measures in all public places.
