fall 2021 ACTIVITY LOUDOUN COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF PARKS, RECREATION & COMMUNITYguid SERVICES e 51st BLUEMONT FAIR - 52 COMMUNITYcreating FALL REGISTRATION loudoun.gov/prcs Aquatics - 45 Adaptive Recreation - 51 Special Events - 52 COMMUNITY CENTER Fall 2021 As we close out another summer season of camps, classes, special events and tournaments, I cannot help but reflect on how different summer 2021 has been compared to last year when we could only offer modified programs with limited enrollment. The pandemic has presented significant challenges for all of us, and your flexibility and support has helped staff navigate and adapt to the necessary changes. With autumn approaching, I find myself anticipating the things that I love to do when leaves turn and weather cools. It feels like a personal reward for making it through seasons that I do not look forward to as much. As a department, we have been especially rewarded recently with the approval of the PRCS Master Plan and Countywide Linear Parks and Trails Plan by the Board of Supervisors. In addition, we look forward to a final determination regarding accreditation by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies in September. These approved plans, as well as the possibility of national accreditation, signify our ongoing dedication to providing exceptional service every day. Your support and patronage encourage each of us to remain committed to seeking out new opportunities to provide innovative, comprehensive, customer-focused programs. We thank you for the opportunity to be of service and remain committed to creating community through our people, parks and programs. Sincerely, Steve Torpy Director, Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services Page 2 | General Registration Begins August 13 WHAT’S INSIDE Events, Classes & Activities: September 1 - November 30, 2021 General Registration Begins August 13 • Senior Registration Begins August 12 Plan Ahead!
