    COVID-19 Update

    Special Edition | Tuesday, June 16, 2020 COVID-19 Update Governor's Updates Governor Ralph Northam announced more than $14.66 million for a new Economic Resilience and Recovery Program to respond to the unprecedented economic conditions facing Virginia and address the near and long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative was created through a restructuring of Growth and Opportunity for Virginia (GO Virginia) funding. The program will focus resources on economic resilience and recovery while staying true to the GO Virginia mission of creating higher-paying jobs that strengthen and diversify regional economies. The GO Virginia Board has approved a policy to implement the Economic Resilience and Recovery Program with up to $14.66 million in GO Virginia funds. Each GO Virginia regional council may apply for up to $1 million to support strategic initiatives in response to the economic conditions caused by the COVID- 19 pandemic. In addition, the GO Virginia Board approved flexible policy changes to accelerate the deployment of funding. Applications will be accepted through the nine GO Virginia Regional Councils. The following four projects have been administratively approved through the new Economic Resilience and Recovery Program, totaling $341,800: GO Virginia Region 2 and the Office of the Vice President for Health Sciences and Technology at Virginia Tech will receive $100,000 for Rapid High- Throughput COVID-19 Testing project. The project will deliver timely COVID- 19 test results to the New River Valley and Roanoke health districts with a projected 1,000 test samples analyzed per day.

A glossary and appendices are also provided with additional student enrollment and LCPS facility information. The CIP section is comprised of the following subsections, each with its own tab to help in document navigation: • The Executive Summary presents a comprehensive summary of LCPS’ six-year capital budget for FY 2022 - FY 2027, and a capital planning forecast of projects for the FY 2028 – FY 2051 planning period. • Funding Plan Summary tables for the thirty-year CIP period are provided in the FY 2022 – FY 2027 CIP tab.

    Loudoun County Public Schools FY22 Superintendent’s Proposed Budget January 7, 2021 21000 Education Court Ashburn, VA 20148 Loudoun County Public Schools Superintendent’s Proposed Budget Fiscal Year 2021-2022 How To Use This Document This budget is divided into four major sections: Executive Summary, Organizational, Financial, and Informational. Two additional sections are also provided: Department and Appendix. Throughout the document, Loudoun County Public Schools is referenced by the abbreviation LCPS. Also, Operating Fund is synonymous with General Fund. The Executive Summary section presents a comprehensive executive summary of LCPS’ budget for FY22 and can be presented separately from the entire budget book. The revenue and expenditure budgets are also presented. The Organizational section presents information about LCPS’ structure, mission and goals, policies and budget process. The Financial section presents budget data districtwide and by fund. Three years of historical financial data, the current year’s budget, and next year’s proposed budget and a three-year forecast of projected revenues and expenditures are presented along with significant trends and initiatives. The Fund/Department section presents a summary of expenditure and positions by department/program sorted by fund. The Operating fund is presented first, including Charter Schools, followed by Special Revenue Funds and Internal Service Funds. Each department/program provides an overview of operations, accomplishments from the prior year, goals for the upcoming year and a discussion of changes in the budget. Prior year actuals have been restated to exclude encumbrance amounts to better reflect the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports. Numbers in the graphs may not add due to rounding.
