Sally Jane is a vibrant young country music, singer, songwriter and guitarist from Serpentine, Western Australia. Sponsored and supported by Wrangler Western and Thomas Cook clothing, Sally Jane is making her mark in the Australian Country music scene with the award of People’s Choice at the 2020 WA Country Music Awards. Sally was also a finalist in the emerging artist category and won Junior Vocalist of the year for 2019. ‘Beersheba’ is Sally Jane’s debut single, co-written with Allan Caswell. ‘Beersheba’ is a tribute to the Australian Lighthorse charge at Beersheba and was first performed at the 100th anniversary re-enactment of the charge, in cooperation with the Returned Services League. ‘Beersheba’ was a semi-finalist in the Tamworth Songwriters Association - Anzac song of the year award. Sally is currently working hard on the development and recording of her debut EP to be locally recorded and produced in Perth. Sally Jane is an endorsed artist and ambassador for Takamine Guitars through the sponsorship of PRO Music Australia. Sally graduated from the CMAA Senior Academy in 2020 and performed at a number of venues during Australia’s largest music festival in Tamworth, including opening the festival on the main stage and performing harmonies for one of her many mentors, nine-time Golden Guitar winner Lyn Bowtell. Every musicians dream is to perform on the stage with their music idols, Sally Jane continues to live her dream and has already shared stages across Australia supporting her idols Troy Cassar-Daly, Bradley Hall, Simply Bushed, Kasey Chambers, Adam Harvey, Amber Lawrence and Catherine Britt. Recently Sally supported Adam Brand on his WA tour during December 2020. Venues and festivals in the Peel District have supported Sally with regular engagements that regularly result in return bookings and private functions. Sally’s stages have ranged from backyard weddings and birthdays, pubs and clubs across Australia to the travelling food van evenings. Some highlights have been performing in Leagues clubs in New South Wales, music festivals in the Pilbara, the Kings Park Dawn services for the RSL and even a booking in Tasmania whilst on an Australian tour earlier this year. As an artist Sally Jane has a compassionate desire to give and regularly supports charities through music including; Friends of Finlay, Warnbro Swans Integrated Football, Relay for Life and the Jarrahdale Veterans Transition Centre. Country music allows Sally to express herself and tell her story, ‘I love it that people can dance and sing along with me and share the experience.’
